If you are looking at around 500whp, I'd stick with the Z. Will probably end up being cheaper to hit those numbers with it. I'm going to second the issues

Will probably end up being cheaper to hit those numbers with it. I'm going to second the issues with 400+ whp sti's. I have a couple friends who have had to rebuild their engines and were pushing those numbers. If you are so obsessed with high hp you might also consider another platform entirely. Higher displacement v8, old supra? Rev1Z likes this.
