I'm not up on what's out there diecast-wise, but for all intents and purposes a 2009 should be the same as a 2011, everything else being equal such as comparing sport to sport, etc.

Go ahead & get the 2009, it will look the same. They rarely make individual years for die cast if the body style is the same.
Great gift idea by the way. I've got a couple myself & love them. ![]() I have this one in white. It's pretty cool, lights come on engine races & it even plays some techno music ![]()

As the owner of the worlds largest Z toy collection (498 pieces) I can say there is no 2011 specific diecast 370z. As the above poster mentioned if there is no body style difference toy companies typically won't make year specific versions. So basically the 2009 diecast is the same as a 2011.
Your best bet for a nice scale size is the Maisto 1:24 diecast. Problem is I don't think they made a black one. The only black 370z in a decent size casting is the J-collection 1:43 scale from Nissan. Or at least all that I've found so far. If you want to go smaller like a 1:64 (hot wheel size) the Tomica Limited is the best. Unfortunately 370z toys in general are limited and nice size diecast versions even more so. I'm still waiting on a 1:18 to be available. |
