They replaced the CSC, air bleeder valve, clutch master system, the flexible hose and bleed system.

Lesson is if the clutch pedal gives in, replace the entire clutch hydraulic system.

With a new car, how can air leak into the system? What caused it? Bad seals, hard driving, I dunno.

Pare in the Philippines we call leaks as "TULO" you need to flush antibiotics to your Z!

Anyway sorry to hear you have to go through all that considering yours is like a year old. Good thing warranty covered it it. Your Z is stil one of the best looking out ther!

Anyone have thoughts?

May I ask who this local Cincinnati dealer is for future reference?

So CSC is covered under the drivetrain warranty which is 5 years/60,000 miles correct?

Default CSC failure covered under warranty?

Did this question ever get answered? Specifically, does the 5 year 60k mile warranty cover the concentric slave cylinder (CSC) failure.

Sorry it's been awhile since I checked this thread. My car was at Kings Nissan. I've always heard good things about Kings, and my experience was great!!

Mine was not covered. I eventually bitched enough that Nissan USA paid for half of my repair, so it still cost me $700

That's disturbing since the Nissan warranty indicates that it covers the drivetrain with the exception of those items excluded which are primarily wear items or abused equipment. in my thinking the CSC is an intregal part of the transmission drivetrain. I think that it may be worth a trip to small claims court.

Has anyone had success with Nissan covering the failed CSC under the 5 year 60k mile warranty not the three year warranty?

I had this happen and the dealer on changed the fluid to GTR fluid thats it and its been working fine one morning though the pedal felt unusually soft and the engagement point was not where it usually is so I kept on driving it because I had to go to work and after the drive it came back to normal which kind scares me because i feel like its going to fail completely as soon as I'm out of warranty....

I've only had the pedal stick to the floor once, when the car was about 2 months old. BUT, when I drive it first thing in the morning, if I get after it and shift quickly, the clutch pedal makes a really weird nice, like a clunk or something with each shift. CSC?

Doesn't sound like it - mine gave no warning noises. In fact it never made noise before, during, or after failure. I don't know that it even could - if you saw it you would know what i mean. Its a small plastic bit that fits in your hand.
