I see these CF mods as being no different than people who spend 5 figures on paint jobs. It may not do a thing for performance, but it looks good to those people that choose to do it. Personally I want my Z to stand out when they start becoming commonplace. I don't want it to be too over the top and I think this CF could be just what I am looking for. The Z is still a mass produced, reasonabley priced, well performing car. This isn't as sacreligious as putting CF overlays on a Ferrari Enzo.
