Love this time of year

Just had to say after getting through the 90's and 100's degree temps of summer down here in Texas. The weather is getting a whole lot cooler for us and i'm enjoying the extra 20HP we pick up with the lower temps:driving::driving:

Especially when it's dark on the way to work in the morning.... Dark on the way home in the afternoon... And most sane people store their Z's for 4 to 5 months of the year up here.

Southerners blow:nutswinger:

obito 11-05-2012 08:40 PM

lol I love San Antonio at this period !!!!!

TreeSemdyZee 11-05-2012 09:25 PM

I'm kinda sammiched in the middle. My biggest argument in my head is, "Do I put on snow tires or not?". I did last year and it only snowed three times. The first year I had the Z, we had crap loads of snow.

Try living "in the middle" and guessing what the weather will be. I remember 19 years ago when we hit 25 below 0 with 2 feet of snow. Not to mention the toothless rednecks.

I hate this time of year in NY, blisteringly cold weather just doesn't do it for me and the stock Potenza's don't grip for sh1t lol.

Big time. It snowed a month after I bought mine in '09 and I had to park it for a week. The temps were such that I could not get any grip. Thankfully Tire Rack had a clearance deal going on snow tires at the time.

That is some funny stuff, but if you look like that guy you are definitely not from the southwest (another transplant for sure), and not all of us, I'm just sayin, are lacking so much pigmentation.

Let's talk humidity come July/August and see how great Florida really is :stirthepot:

I'll take having seasons any day.

LMBmikeZ 11-06-2012 10:52 AM

You can have your seasons! I want FL! I love snowboarding but I can travel to do that but living daily in the cold :shakes head: no thanks!

Streetlife 11-06-2012 12:30 PM

I'm loving the weather in Houston, especially on a nice sunny but cold Sunday. Nothing like taking a nice early sunday morning drive in my baby girl Vanity to the Woodlands.:happydance:

I would argue you have the opposite problem of Florida but ends up with the same result. You're too far north!

LMBmikeZ 11-06-2012 02:00 PM

:iagree: and I hate shovelling snow!

TheGreatOne 11-06-2012 02:32 PM

Was thinking of keeping the Z out till end of November (Winter tires are only required as of Dec 15th by law) here

but its been so cold 1 degree (35F) that the Z has a great growl but can't bite the pavement very well. So taking the fun out of driving the Z...next week I put her to sleep (for 4-5 months lol)

Mr&Mrs 11-06-2012 02:36 PM

Im a born and raised local I love the heat/humid nature of this state. I have already been wearing sweaters most of the day these last couple weeks LOL

My mom lives in South Florida now, I visit twice a year

I think I'll spring to ship my car down one xmas so that I can drive my Z on some nice florida road. One day....

The benifit of living in California can outweigh the political insanity, when it comes to driving at this time of year. It is currently 75-80 degrees with a cool breeze. Yeah I know what you are thinking, it is too warm, but with the breeze it is fine. Really. :icon17:

ayrton88 11-06-2012 05:04 PM

Living in Chicago, as far as I'm concerned there is no such thing as too hot. Coming to see you guys in Texas for the USGP. It better be warm. I swear I saw snow flurries in the air today.

forza370z 11-06-2012 09:06 PM

Well, with cold you can always add another layer. But when it's hot what else you can strip off if you are already naked. Just saying.:p

tonythetiger 11-06-2012 10:42 PM

houstons too humid especially in the summer, winter isnt really winter over here in tx. some days its super cold other days its warm, not consistent at all. iv been def pushing the car to take advantage of the cold air, the car does pull harder
