Nissan has put millions of dollars & many yrs of RD into the 370z, just like the 350z and therefore it does not need any "modification" from us.
Enjoy the car as it was meant to be enjoyed by genius engineers at Nissan and you will not regret it.

Now I don't know exactly how much these toys will cost, I'm checking and researching as we speak.
Also brembo have many versions with different prices and used kits are everywhere so hopefully I'll be able to get them.
The wheels are what I like; maybe I can't even fit them on....
Not going to remove the bose but more likely to add on the new system!
I'm researching....:icon17:
I hope this stlye isn't that bad!!haha:tup:

Yes, the thing is Konigs are crap and those brembos you chose are very high end, very expensive racing units. Really, add more speakers to a bose system?

On the wheels.....come on now....Don't do that to a Z!! Not even dealing with aesthetics.....performance wise those wheels look like they weigh a ton!!

Can't blame you for wanting to change the stock radio..."BLOSE" really sucks!!!

Just my 2c

Blose? Bose makes excellent high quality speakers.

Yes, they do reduce the weight quite a bit.

well, the cost of the Brembos can give you an intake (around 500 for a good one), an exhaust (ranges from 800-2000) depends on what you want and you'll still have cash left over to buy nice rims with rubber !!!!!

$500 intake? lol gold plated?

The Z is MAF based for the intakes. Using an altered version of something thats probably already not good for the car is probably not the best idea for airflow.

2. New wheels 19" with fat *** lip
3. Endless brake kit 6 piston in front n' 4 piston in rear with braided brake lines
4. 5% tints all around
5. Twin plate clutch by Clutch Master
6. Greddy evo II exhaust

so far that it, cant think of nething else off my head
what u guys think of that set up?? good??

Lol off the top of my head I can think of like 30 things you are missing. Here's a list that ttz recommends to buy along with the greddy TT for the Z.

* Greddy TT Kit with FMIC ($5995)
* Profec E01 Boost Controller ($505)
* 1 Step Colder Copper Spark Plugs ($40)
* WB Sensor ($500)
* (2) E01 External Hanesses ($40)
* E-Manage Pressure Sensor Harness ($30)
* Crawford Cats ($450)
* Crawford Plenum ($395)
* Crawford Strut Bar ($175)
* Walbro 255 ($120)
* Aeromotive 1:1 FPR ($129)
* Fuel Return Lines ($20)
* Borla True Dual Exhaust ($675)
* Turbonetics Waste Gate Gaskets ($20)
* JWT Clutch ($400)
* JWT Flywheel ($400)
* JWT Oil Pan Spacer ($100)
* E-Manage Timing Harness and rectifier diodes ($50)
* Greddy Type S BOV ($60)

Total Hardware: $10104
Total Labor: $3000
Grand Total: $13104

Thats how much it would cost you to do things right. That doesn't even include internals which would be another $6,000 at least with a block and heads.

my .02 cents

I partially agree that many people manage to completely ruin cars. However, mods can be good for the car's performance as well. While you are right that Nissan spent millions on R&D you also have to think about the fact that Nissan had to target a whole bunch of different audiences and that they had to meet all sorts of regulations. That means that their design has to be in some ways limited and not as good as it can be. Therefore mods can make the car better for each individual, depending on what they want.

larger diameter = slightly, really slightly better mileage......hahahaha

Except its the opposite. More rotational mass means more energy required to spin the wheels means more fuel.

If I get a 370Z, I'd mod it just like any other car. Suspension, exhaust and wheels then some type of mild aero kit. For suspension, I'd look at KWs or Bilsteins first, then the JDM offerings.

There you go, thanks for adding some sense to this thread.

People think they should add power first and then do everything else later. Thats a huge mistake...

500 b/c it's dual intakes...lol...or something

injen and JWT cost around the same...i think..lol

and the bigger wheel thing, that's not entirely true....depends how big you go, like an inch bigger doesn't make a big diff at all.

most ppl just get bigger rims, but smaller rubber to meet OEM specs

SnakeBitten 12-09-2008 08:55 PM

Wow some of you guys must be ballers....

Enjoy and learn the car in stock form first. Then I just want to drop it on some KW V3's or Bilsteins, complete front bumper replacement with hopefully a lower facia, save some money by reusing my current rims if they fit, breathing mods and tune thats it initially for mods.

dad 12-09-2008 09:37 PM

Bolt on and drop in, add very little, if any performance.

Holly ghetto rims! Go get a Monte Carlo if you want to roll with those mad tyte wheels.

I never understood why people get a small, lightweight, purposed sports car and put tons of stereo equipment and nasty huge rims on them, kind of defeats the purpose.

I would like to strip the stereo right out and get lighter rims, strip out as much else as I can. Get a great suspension and great tires and I will be set, perhaps some light N/A mods for 310-320whp?

I'll get an accord or TSX for a comfy cruiser with good audio.

G in ny 12-09-2008 11:32 PM

^ i dont know about ripping everthing out lol.... But yea ugly rims, who ever puts rims on this forum like that should be banned lol.

You hating on people about getting big rims and audio for there STREET car makes about as much sense as you buying DAILY DRIVER sportscar, striping everything out turning it into an uncomfortable, unstreetable racecar and then have to go spend more money and buy a DAILY DRIVER. :ugh2:

I respect your opinion on rims size but the rest of your post is plain silly as a retort to dub audiophiles. You need to pass the 370z and buy a Lotus Elise or Exige. Lotus left nothing for you to rip out, it comes with a great suspension and tires and much better power to weight. Or you can do what you want with your 370z and let other people do what they want with theirs :tiphat:

Do we know this for sure on the 3.7? For the DE I know this was the case. But Ive seen the 3.5 HR's have been making good gains on bolt on and tune a la A.H. et al. So Im hopeful that Nissan left room for the tuners to exploit. Havent seen what the G37 guys are getting boltonwise though. Im gonna take a look at there forum later...

playboyz 12-10-2008 06:21 AM

SnakeBitten " qoute " Agreed:tup:
I'm not going to track, more intrested in show!!

Buy a G37

I like what SnakeBitten said about stripping it a little, there's nothing I'd rather do than rip the interior, add a cage, racing buckets, harnesses, brakes, plex windows, coilovers, carbon everything, hoosiers and a 6 speed sequential. However, this also has to be my daily driver that I have to drive to work... eventually it will become a pure track car, but thats not going to happen for a few years. For now its going to be Bose audio and navi with lots of little mods for weekend trackdays ;)

It's not hating it's common sense.

This will be my weekend car, so I will be making it a better version of what it already is, and was meant for. I don't fit into a lotus so strike that option, and I happen to enjoy the Z (at least past generations, as I have to drive the Z34). Everything I mentioned doing to my personal car is based off of what I will be using it for, again which is the intended purpose of the car.

I have no problems with other people doing ridiculous things to their cars, if they want it for show so they can look cool and cruise around in then that is their business. This is an enthusiast community (at least I thought it was), so when someone posts something asking for input, I am going to give it. If you don't like it, tough **** man, didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

Take a look at Nissan's design goals for this car, and you will understand why I have a hard time understanding why people would choose it to fulfill their audio/bling/show-off goals. Seems there are other far better options out there for that kind of thing. But if you want to do it, by all means it's your money, do what makes you happy.

When you express those goals in an enthusiast community I am not going to sugar coat my feelings on the matter.

"Its not hating its common sense???":rofl2:

So its common sense to buy a Z, strip out everything you paid for thus devaluing the car, turn it into a crude car which is NOT what it was meant to be and that is common sense vs the guys who put PLUS 1 20's and ICE on their STREETCAR 370z. lmao at your logic.

Nissans "design goals" was to have an interior, ride nice, play good sounds and operate in a safe manner on the street first and foremost. They did not design this car for owners to strip out the interior to make it better lol....

You keep tripping up on your own words and cant seem to realize you have no right to chastize anyones choice as your choice 99% of us enthusiasts wont ever do to the Z. You can keep frothing at the mouth and going on about how you are going to speak your mind blah blah blah....One simple cliche rule for you. Pot Kettle Black....I hate getting into these kinds of post but you are hilarious....:icon17:
