Storing car for a couple of months.
I plan on storing my car (2012 370Z coupe manual) for a couple of months this winter. Besides changing oil, full tank of gas, stabilizing the gas, do I need a battery tender?
A battery tender is a nice convenience. You will retain your radio presets, you won't need to reset the power windows and airbag lights like you do if you disconnect the battery.
also make sure to keep the tires on flatstoppers so you dont get flat spots.
My tires are filled with nitrogen and didn't flat spot.
the questions is OPs tires filled with nitrogen? If not flatstoppers needed unless OP plans to move the car back and forth every couple days.:tiphat:

I would just drive it when possible, not just store permanantly for months on end. If there's a reasonable clear sunny day, take it out and get the fluids and engine running.
This is a generic check list for any car.
PS Nitrogen will not stop flat spots I don't know how anyone could even suggest that. Flat spots are caused by the weight of the car deforming the tires at the contact patch. Nitrogen wont make your car float in the air. |
