Thanks forza! Nice white nismo btw. If I were to choose a z again it would be that one.

I think 370z Nismo has the same hatch springs as the 370z non Nismo ones. The longer spring you saw in the pix is actually for 350z. I just swapped out the springs for my Nismo from the dealership last month. It's funny one of their tech guys pointed out the transparent rubber pieces and asked me what was that. Apparently not all of them knows the car very well.:icon17:

What springs did you swap out with? Could you snap a pic of those transparent rubber pieces for us to see?

Thanks

No problem. I just took few pictures this afternoon. As you can see the new spring ordered from Nissan dealership looks no difference as the non nismo one(short spring). However the part number might be different. It's 84415-1EA2E. You also can see the transparent rubber piece from the pictures. The idea is essentially same as the 2-3 penny trick. I didn't know this differences between the nismo and the non nismo until I got this rear hatch stuck problem. After installed the new spring it works like a charm. Hope it helps...

Notice the rubber piece?

This is how it works - the springs are going to sit on top of the rubber pieces when close up the hatch.

The hatch spring on Nismo(I think it's same as the non Nismo ones)

The Seibon Nismo spoiler is absolutely great in my opinion. However, it is a little heavier than the sport spoiler and I have difficulty opening the trunk sometimes.. Still trying to figure out a solution. Anyways here are some pics of mine.
Also, getting it in CF looks great and does not require any paint. You will have to drill new holes though, but it will cover up the old ones from a sport spoiler.

To anyone saying the Nismo springs are different, you're 100% wrong... And Nissan had issues with the springs only on the 2009's, so if you have a 2009 go to the dealer, and they'll replace them...
Also, if you want to be really cool, do as I did, remove the factory plastic under the hatch and remove the pound and half weight that is bolted to the hatch!

PM me for info
