Stock or Modded???
Does everyone mod their Zs? I'm not a big fan of modding, probably because I love my Z the way it is. Although, there are some really sick rims i've seen on other member's Zs.

I've modded it quite a bit, although I've kept most of my stock components, just in case I need them.
Click my signature pic to see what all I've had done. My seats and door card are wildly modded, one-of-a-kind, but nothing far over the top. I have visual mods inside, and performance mods where they matter. I started with a base Z, so I have the Akebono BBK, thanks to a raffle. I also got an oil cooler so I could track and/or thrash the car in warmer temperatures. I have 19" rims, but I kept my stock 18's for winter tires. And I have intakes for the sound and tiny bit of extra grunt. I also got the fog lamp, because it rocks in heavy rain or fog. I bought the very cheapest Z I could, so that I could mod it and personalize it as I liked. |

modding is something eventually you cant really deny. These are mods i feel like are essential for the Z. Oil cooler of course if you dont have one already
#1 Sound System-worst in the business #2 ClearBra. Paint worst in the business #4 Exhaust- Stock Note is borderline embarrassing for a sports car, quieter than a 350z.. Tires is up to you, a nice set of aftermarket tires really bring the car to life. |

I did also get clearbra, and I'm glad I did. I have toyed with the idea of an aftermarket exhaust, but I kinda like being quiet and stealthy. |

My Z didn't have the clear bra when I bought it (i bought it used), any ideas of where I can go to get this done? Or should I just head to the dealer? It's too quiet for my taste, I don't want to mod it. Unless I can make it sound like the g35 coupe, then I would mod it in an instant |

Exhaust it definitely needs. Everything else is really alright stock as is. Maybe some tints, a rear fog light, and possibly rims depending if you have the base rims, if not just black out the sport wheels.

The car stock begs for a better exhaust note. Not necessarily that much louder, but just a better tone, as the stock tone is pretty unrefined sounding.
Other than that, I think the mods are very dependent on what you use the car for. Driving hard? Springs/coilovers, brake upgrades, and an oil cooler are all necessary. I think the Z is a great car to mod since it already has a lot of character, so it's easy to justify molding that to how you like it. |
