My GSX finally dies...........

Time to get a Z. I am 26 and this will be my first time buying a new car. I am hoping to get a base Z with the sport package included for a good price.

Any tips? What price should I be looking to get it near, and how should I deal with the dealership and or sales person?

Thanks in advance guiys. I hope to be part of the community shortly.

Test drove a 370Z with the sport package recently....you won't be disappointed, the Zs a lot of fun.

My only worry is getting a good deal. I am also curious if I will miss the AWD.

you wont! i had a sti and an evo before the 370z, fr cars provide more feedback esp in the steering. my comparison is like conducting a train on rails versus a sportbike in the twisties. it may not be the quickest but def is quite a pleasure to drive.

Good luck on getting your Z. What killed the DSM?

I just cant get parts for it anymore. It is becoming harder and harder to keep up. On top of all of that it is just old, especially the interior.

Ah... Good 'ol crank walker took it's last step? That's a shame. Well, the Z is going to be good fun! You may miss AWD, but you're going to love power sliding! :D

I got mine for 34,500 out the door (with 9.75% tax here in Alameda county, CA)

It has a 6 bolt swap. It was a fun car too, and i never got it over 300 at the crank and I still loved it.

Your target is invoice. All the MSRP and Dealer cost numbers can be found here: Nissan 370Z Pricing / Ordering Discussions - Nissan 370Z Forum

I had an AWD Audi and don't miss it. RWD cars are a lot of fun.

Yes and no. The AWD is awesome for acceleraction but....

Turn your traction control off in the Z and hit corners in 2nd, what happens next you can't get in an AWD on dry pavement.
