Had a little too much fun on Hellbender. Got distracted by my beautiful passenger... there was some grass... then a cliff.

After driving another American made muscle car for a year (a 2011 Camaro SS), I'd be more interested in reading this review a year from now....when/if the shoddy build quality/materials issues start coming to light.

I've had mine since Sept '10 and haven't had any issues. Quality is at least as good as the 370Z IMO.

No. I didn't order mine, so the one I have is standard GT suspension (damn good in my opinion) and standard brakes (not sure at all how they will do on the track. They are fine on the road). I would love the Brembos. I did add the Ford Racing performance pack. That is aftermarket.

I was worried about my steering wheel controls, thinking maybe they'd wear down and look crappy with continuous use but two years later it turned out to be a non issue. No rattles, no mechanical issues, no buttons falling off or electronics failing. And that's with a 2011. Any kinks will have been worked out in a 2013.

I looked hard at the GT before buying last winter. they could not find me a Trak pak 6 speed with the other options I wanted, they did offer me a smoking deal. I didn't want to wait to order one and my sub 9k mile Z came along for a lot less money and I got 1.99. no regrets, but I had a blast test driving the mustangs.
I do wish they would "do more" with the mustang interiors.... don't even get me started with the camaro interior. the Z interior was one of the biggest selling features for me, subjective I know.

Literally, THAT day. I DID get $1,800 back on the 5 year extended warranty....used that to put a nice stereo system in the new Z. I won't own another American made car after that experience. |
