Do what you want, drive with what you want on, Just remember its your own responsibility. They Put VDC system for a reason. But everyone has there own ways. Do what feels more comfortable. The Z can bite you in thr A%## if you dont know how it rides or how to control it when it slips. Take yourself to a parking lot and rip it get a feel for it know how your car responses.

I habitually turn it off as soon as I start the car; my driving intentions are thwarted by VDC far too often when left on. I like to turn it on when I'm driving highway speeds in the rain.

My vdc jerks the car pretty bad when you are making a right hand turn hitting the gas going from 1-2nd. I used to be very careful and always have it on and now I feel like it's more of a liability because I know how to drive a car with some power. I Keep it on when the roads are wet tho (dont ever engage it by driving fast though).
Tl;Dr. : My vdc might kill me because of the jerks while engaging while turning. I turn it off now |

one had said in a different thread about spinning in third..and yes it does.... 50mph...drop to third ...drop the hammer...wheel spin...even with vdc ON ( will just make it cut power so you dont slightly fishtail like with it off)

I turn it off when I want to truly enjoy the power of the Car...
But I grew up in the seventies on Bias Ply Tires and no VDC..

Since the last time I noticed and posted in this thread, I took it one step further. Removed the Yaw Sensor from under the center console. Now I don't have to remember to push the button to kill VDC. Added bonus: even with the button off, the car still does a little traction management via ABLS (tapping the brakes on one rear wheel to assist the VLSD's poor excuse for LSD). Killing the Yaw Sensor supposedly disables that as well.
Could be all in my head, but I feel like my corner exits really improved right about the same time I killed that sensor. I suspect it's just hard to get really smooth at rear traction control (manually) with those little ABLS taps happening randomly and unpredictably. I never felt them directly enough to know exactly when it was happening for sure, though. Obviously, removing the sensor is one of those things nobody will recommend for liability reasons or whatever, but if you're tracking the car, I'd recommend trying it. |

Hadn't really driven with it off much until this weekend.
Soooo much more fun with it off. Definitely not for the faint at heart or the inexperienced driver. While I'll keep it on in town, it'll be off from now on when doing any 'fun' driving.
