I can honestly say I dont think that it will top at 165, my z has no problem getting to 155mph so I think it could do better then another 10 or so mphs before gassing out. The big problem is at 140mph the sport version starts to get alot of lift on the front making it really unstable and quite honestly scary.

:tiphat:
thats why i want people to know im modified?

With the great aero of the 370z, cd OF 0.29 and .30, I'm betting it can pass 170mph.

The NSX can hit 170+ and it has 280 HP and cd of 0.32.

Im sure the NISMOs top speed is less due to the huge downforce created. I would guess the NISMO tops out at 162 ish

NSX was quite a bit lighter. About 400 pounds lighter.

Weight has almost no impact on top speed, its just drag and horsepower. Weight might have a very minimal impact, more rolling resistance maybe. But 400 lbs lighter might give you an extra 1mph top speed at best.

If you dropped 800lbd off your Z, you have the same body (same cd) and same power, same top speed, or at least very close.

there was a video of a guy maxing his de-limited 370Z on korean highway , hit 276 kmh equivalent to 171 mph

:iagree: Weight only really only matters in reaching the maximum accelleration since the motor will have less to push forward in a lighter car(given all else is equal). The real factors are air resistance & drivetrain loss/rolling friction. The difference of weight at high speeds would have to be substantial to have a real difference in top speed. Hypothetically, I think a 2,800lb Z will have nearly the same top speed as an identical 3,600lb Z, but the heavier Z will need more time and more room to reach it.
