All of you guys would really siiphon off 17-20 gallons of gas??? JEEZUS you guys need to find something better to do with your time...

I think you should drive like a human, drive on the tank, then when you fill up next, disconnect your battery and wait about an hour or so to reset the computer

Why is it every time I see someone recommend resetting an ECU the time "requirement" keeps going up? An hour is just ridiculous, 15 seconds is all it takes to reset ANY processor. It's not like you have to bore the ECU to death with no power for it to reset.

Come syphon it out into my 89 Grand Wagoneer. It's always thirsty!
Then go fill up with 91 and put your blinders on this time

But I would use at least 93 octane. When mixing octanes of equal volume the resulting octane mix an average of the 2.

Example: 9 gallons of 87 octane + 9 gallons of 93 octane = 18 gallons of 90 octane

if its available, pump 100 octane into your car at half tank, that should make it about 91 octane after the mix but it might be a bit higher or lower

just take it easy though

Lucky she did not distract you to fill it with Diesel

It's fine. It even says in the manual that it's okay to put 87 octane gas in an emergency if there's no higher octane. Just don't keep repeating it.
