I cringed a little reading that too.

I just ignore the ricer kids....I got it all the time in the Camaro too. I think maybe the "FASTAH" personalized tag provokes them or something. LOL I've only had one person rev on me since I got the Z....a middle aged lady in a Caddy CTS. I just laughed and let her haul arse away from the light on her own....and thought to myself, I sure wish my FIRST choice for a personalized tag would have been available....

I have had similar encounters with Evo drivers. I had one try to race me for over 15 minutes. He followed me around town, revving, flying by, cutting me off, etc. We were even behind a county police officer at one point and he was still behind me goosing the throttle so I could hear his BOV.

I turned through some side streets, even drove by the county courthouse, and this douche was still following me. Swerving, revving, etc.

He had MD tags and apparently didn't know that people in Virginia carry. I was about to turn into a parking lot when he finally decided to break off. I am sure he was lost since he followed me for so long.

I just hope it was one of those touchless car washes. I would be more worried about what scratches one of those machines did to my car then some punk revving his engine at me. The throwing of the drink is begging for a beat down though.

I have had a few encounters with the local Honda crowd. One almost hit me. The driver was tailgating me and I was about to turn. I guess it pissed him off that I was going so slow and must have not noticed the blinker. Well the idiot tries to cut me off before I make my turn. I just shook my head. Then there have been three CTS-V's since I have put on exhaust that have wanted to run. One was a brand new one trying to get me to go in rush hour traffic on the HWY. He finally gave up.

Haven't had any issues out of Subbie's or Evo's or anything else.

can one of those things scratch your car?
i know they use shammies instead of cloth but i didnt think it would scratch the car, i personally have never had my car scratched by one of those things before

i have had that happen to me when i driving home one day after hanging out with some friends, this honda guy was right on me to the point of no roll room, literally bumper to bumper, i tried driving extra slow and moving out of his way but he stuck on me so when we reached an open stretch of road i gunned it to 80 and lost him

not sure if he wanted to hear the car zoom off or something but it was really annoying

If it's like anything we have around here whether it be the automated car washes at a gas station or going to a place dedicated to just car washes but still use automated machines...they just attempt to detail the car afterwards. Then my answer would be yes it is scratching your car. If it is automated those shammies are scratching your car each time they slap it to knock the dirt off as its sprayed with soap/wax/etc. Something to think about is if a guy with a 4x4 went through it before you that had just went mudding. Well guess what is all over those shammies that are slapping your car? Tiny rocks and other debris he collected in the mud from the trails. I would stay far away from any of those places like the plague and only hand wash my car at my house. If you have the time and resources its the best way to go. No one is going to care more for your car than you are.

Wow that's more to him being an *** than being a ricer. Buying the car was probably because he felt like he had something to prove. ;o

In this situation it's almost always good to speak to the individual outside of the car and ensure they get a clear message of your objection to their behavior.

Read into this however you want...

Dude, call the police. In pretty much every state it's against the law to throw objects out of and/or at a moving car. In some states it's a felony. Make this douchebag PAY.

If that was me and I knew who did it, justice would be a molotov to the hood of his car.

Well living in cali..

Most mustang/camaro drivers i have encountered = females divers, so no drama from those.

Porsche drivers = older folks that wont even turn their heads.

But! Pick up drivers on the other hand.. Oboy

Very much true in OC and L.A. Also, a lot of Honda-ricers tone down on their "street racing" ever since a couple really bad & deadly accidents around the area for the past 2 years.

The only ones that seems scarily aggressive on the road nowadays are Truck/SUV/Van drivers. I auto-x a ford150 and the stopping distance (even with aftermarket pro-am brakes) is still very long. I can't imagine why anyone in a 4000lb car would want to tailgate my Z. I usually do the following:

1) lightly tap my brakes to move him away.
2) Change lanes
3) If he continues, I put on my emergency blinker, count to 3, and then pull a really hard stop.
