Lots of good info on Synthetic oils in the DIY section.
Maybe this explain why i havent seen anything yet. I dont check the DYI section.
Honestly appreciated dude.

Everyone's in a good mood today based on the response's. Oil can be a hot topic
no pun intended sometimes. Just pick out one of the top 3 synthetic brands
and you'll be fine. Oh and always check your oil after every refill of gas.

Because these cars tend to burn/use oil. Safer to check.

NO. you shouldn't check your oil at the gas station unless you wanna wait 10 minutes at the gas station and look like a total jerk! If you need accurate oiil level check, please do it at home/garage etc where you can allow at least 10-15 minutes for the oil to drain back. Per owner manual:

When I come home, I usually ask SIRI to - remind me in 15 minutes to check oil level. Then I shut off the engine. I go inside home and as soon as I get the reminder, I come outside and check the oil level. I do this every 14 days. Religiously. I crossed 60,000 miles today and (knock on wood) no issues whatsoever. If you check your oil once a month, you should be fine. I rarely have to put any oil in anyway.

OP aka theboydiddy, I have two suggestions for you for your initial original post:
a. Please read this thread to get your answers to those questions DIY: Nissan 370Z Oil change (AK370Z way) Pictures inside

b. Next time when you make a thread, please make it more that one word title ("Oil"). I changed the title for you. You want to make your thread title in a way so that i)it helps another member when they search in future ii)kinda gives a member "at a glance" idea what's the thread is about.

Enjoy your pearl white 370z

i am reaching to 5k miles so i am going to have an oil change soon, perhaps next week. i heard before a lot people saying redline oil. is that reliable ?
how many oil bottles does the Z needs ?
im definitely going with K&N filters, too.
Like the man said Walmart let them change the oil and filters don't worry about anything.

diddy- check the plenty of oil threads here, I run royal purple it works good for me. As for oil filters check Purolator pure 1 one as well.

Also, since oil threads keep coming up might I suggest a Official sticky thread on engine oil. I know AK's thread is there, but most people looking for oil info will not normally look into the DIY section, I think if we made a devoted oil thread in the Engine/Drivetrain section then we can just tell people to search in that thread. That way we can have less of these threads where the OP normally never gets his/her answer and/or is flamed.

Just a thought I can start one if thats the case.

I can't decide between running gatorade or sqwincher for coolant. Someone help!!!!

lol.

I run royal for now with nismo filter for now... It works awesome, BUT... Availability of redline in my area is the only reason im not running it. Esther based oil is best for the Z and redline makes a superior product to nissan's ester. I recommend Redline and Royal as the number 2. I can get Mobil1 completely free as my synth oil. I opt out and pay a lil extra for the royal.
