OBDII - CAN-BUS port?
So in lieu of the soon to hit shelves Cobb AccessPORT, I've been just bumbling around my car interior looking for the port that use to do emissions here in Illinois (any car that has OBDII-CANBUS likely uses port checks, not actual exhaust contaminant measurement methods). I can't find that port, or any information on it either. I even remember the whole hype about being able to change the VLSD in the rear to an open diff with some kind of switch (which I suspected was ... well, crap).
Something I think is kinda funny is that if I had an Cobb AP, you could pass any emissions test even if you were running a twin turbo with downpipes, test pipe, and a high flow exhaust that was spewing dark black smoke that smelled of dead animals because it was some super high octane fuel. Oh, one question that I've been meaning to ask that might be answered, but does anyone know of a possible water/alcohol injection kit possibility for the VQ37VHR? It'd be a great thing to take advantage of the super high comp ratio and stick in some injectors to have a nice gain without too much cost. |

Hmm... I checked there... but of course, when I checked, I didn't have a flashlight. :shakes head:
Yeah, I'm already aware of what OBDII and CANBUS are, it's just that it surprised me that no one on the forums had specifically had a thread on it. |
