Mystery: Interior mood lights suddenly appear

Update: I dug around and discovered my car has the Cube's mood lighting installed. The control dial for it looks like it was shoved underneath the dash, but must have fallen at some point and was sitting under the passenger-side floor mat. My gf's feet must have been turning the thing on and off last night. Party in my car!!! Thanks for the help, all.

I was driving to dinner with my girl tonight when interior mood lights suddenly started flashing in the foot wells and in the center cup holder of my Z!

The weird part is I don't know why they started flashing all of the sudden, and I certainly didn't install them (although I bought the car used with 2k miles on it, so perhaps the previous owner installed them.)

The colors were changing from red to green to blue to white, but when we got back in the car after dinner, the lights stayed dark for about 5 mins when they just went all white.

Any ideas how I can control this? They seem to have a mind of their own, and I don't see a switch anywhere.

Help!
