Oil Change Excitement

1 Attachment(s)
Changing my oil on Saturday and saw this before taking off the engine tray. Anyone want to guess what it turned out to be?

supunna_picta 09-04-2012 11:11 AM

Keebler elf?

birdmanx1 09-04-2012 11:12 AM

angry bird?

Davey 09-04-2012 12:08 PM

Dead bird? My old 350Z ate one once. I carried him around for a few months, like a smelly little ant-covered buddy.... I miss him sometimes.

4r3s 09-04-2012 01:27 PM

Garden Gnome

B&W_Evader 09-04-2012 02:54 PM

Nope... I'll give you guys a hint... What you see is a toe and if you look real carefully, you'll see it has a toe nail. First glance at it I didn't think anything of it. Then it struck me that there's nothing supposed to be there...

edub370 09-04-2012 03:02 PM

possum...???

Winner!

Before I dropped the pan I was sure he was dead. I'm sooo lucky i did the oil change when I did. 1 more day of driving and that sucker would of been dead. Here he is walking away after I dropped the pan. We just looked at each other for a second, then he turned around and stumbled off like he was drunk.

Car's parked in the garage. He either got on at work or in the evening when the garage door was open. Work is 25miles/35minutes away. He could of survived a trip. Live in a neighboorhood with cookie-cutter style plots but there have been possum sightings. Work is next to a national wildlife refuge.

Guessing he got in on the drivers side where the pan is open on the side of the engine block. I'm guessing he was stuck since I didn't feel him move around when I was unbolting the pan.

Probably lucky he had a way out and I didn't try to grab him.

Your avatar perfectly describes mfw.

Possums, in my experience, are a bit more docile than raccoons. Once ran into a corner in the roof that had an overhang for a window or something, possum living there.

Also, once saw one cross the street at night. Stared right at me, blankly, before leisurely turning its head and continuing to cross the street.

OP, rep for having strange **** happen to you.

DCNISMO 09-05-2012 10:37 AM

Live action for sure!! yeyyeyey!! ...OP should send this to Jalopink

Hell in AZ we only have to worry about scorpions, rattle snakes, tarantula's and retired folks.

wideglideleon 01-26-2017 04:55 PM

Oh wait I checked we DO have possum also.

Duc_Z09 01-26-2017 05:00 PM

Classic.... LOL I pulled a new car in once when I worked at a dealership. Popped the hood and a big wood rat was under the hood. Dropped it on his head, LOL. He scampered off out of the shop as everyone watched in disbelief. He was the size of a cat.

alcheng 01-27-2017 06:29 PM

You're lucky that it's not a skunk... LOL
