This might be a stupid question, but are air bags required in Korea as standard/required safety equipment?

Wow +1 Slidefox

I must say with some wheels and a drop that car looks quite good. I think that thing will be really popular here!

Genesis Vs. 370Z
This is still my favorite shot I've seen of the Genesis,...its still a Hyundai.

That is a really hot picture it is an attractive car I must say. If they upgrade the interior a little more I think it will give the G and Z good competition. Only thing killing honestly is that its a Hyundai. If it was a new Honda or Acura i think the response would be diff.

Although I have to agree it's an awesome-looking and powerful car, not to mention a good tuning platform, I do not see myself spending 35-45k on a G37 look-alike, much less on a Hyundai. Sorry, but I'd be caught dead running around in a Hyundai no matter how awesome they're becoming.

Coming from a Euro-centric background (my '94 Miata was/is my first non-Euro car, and I made it to age 34, three years ago, before buying that) I just don't have the hang-ups about which brand, or whether it is Korean or Japanese, or whatever. To be fair, all of my friends will think I've gone nuts if I buy anything other than a German car (they don't respect the many years I spent with Alfas I guess), so peer pressure is the same (and ignored, thanks) regardless.

I think the Genesis is a great-looking car, and the tuners will have a lot of fun with them. They should get awfully mean on the track when stripped out, too.

BUT

Somehow it's still not for me. It's still lesser than other cars I could spend my future dollars on. Maybe it is the economy brand specter, after all. Or maybe the engineer in me still sees the 370Z as the superior car (not to mention even better-looking).

I'd enjoy driving around in a Genesis. But I will, someday, cherish my 370Z.

I like it, except for the grill. But I'm sure the aftermarket will come out with something better looking.
