I'm 18 and still in HS; I own no 370Z. I don't think I can ever live with my parents again (I'm at boarding school now). I wouldn't want to put that on them. I'll live on college dorm for a year, then I'll use the money I save up the first year through working to rent and apt. or "dorm suite." I've had enough dorm life already. After college, I will definitely rent. I just don't think that I could move back in with my parents; they would be very disappointed...

It will warm up, it has been an unusually cold winter for the deep south, strange weather pattern. Normal high here this time of year is low 60's.

Hmmm, perhaps. I've been eyeballing two cars lately, a CLK Black series with low miles and quite cheap and a 997TT. I'm not doing anything until after summer but I'm keeping my Nismo. Never really modded a car like this other then my 67 camaro, its a very special car for me.

Enough about me, back to houses. Who want to buy mine? I'll sell you a large cabin in Big Bear, heck, I may even carry the loan :)

July 26th - absolutely zero debt
July 27th - closed on my first house
July 29th - bought my Z

It was kind of a shock to realize I'd just spent a quarter mil in the span of a couple days.

Yeah, it only gets easier after that (to be more and more in debt that is).

I found a Skyline I really like, I also found a Porsche I really like, there's a really cool supra I have to have!

F it! Come on kids, pack your things...we're going to live in a tent for a while but we'll have REALLY cool cars! Wonder if the wife will go for it?

Hey, eating beans out of can tastes a whole lot better sitting in a Porsche!

In a financial situation I choose, since I had the option, to live at home during college. I pay rent, pay my own bills, buy food, pay for my car, pay for college, and in return get a slightly reduced rent bill by living at home. Pluses, I get a bigger place than anywhere else I could rent, safe neighborhood, and my parents do not care if people call late. Hell, people ask where I live and I will gladly say my parents house, I have no shame in the fact I own a sports car and live at home, because of the long list of things in the second sentence.

Agree, why are people being shame when they live with their parents ?? well if you are not paying for your own sh!t then yes, you should be.

I am 21 years old, and bought my house a year ago.... Bought the Z after the government gave me 8 grand for buying a house!! I don't see how anyone could buy a nice car, and lack in the home department.... Gotta have your priorities..... Sure, I COULD HAVE bought a sports car when I was older (you know, when you are too old to drive it, and it is a pain to get in and out of), but you only live once, and my job has helped me to see that it doesn't matter what age you are, if you gonna die, you gonna die, might as well have some fun!! A good thread!!
