I'll have friends that follow me ask me about it, "Why do you have that blinking light back there?" I simply ask: "You saw it didn't you, and recognized I am stopping?" "Yeah...." "That's why I have it."

Yes...I would like a video and maybe a DIY for it as well. I'd buy the fog light and wire like this in a heartbeat!

Hah, went back out to see if I could get a video of it, and it stopped working again (back to solid-on). I suspect it's just an iffy ground with their stupid little splice connectors. I'll solder it up tomorrow.

I just got mine today and will install it Saturday. I'll take pictures/video as well.

Yes same idea. I choose the fog light to blink instead of the 3 rd brake light because it gives it more of a Formula One look. I also bought the module that it only blinks after 8 seconds of not having the brakes pressed. Its meant for bumper to bumper traffic so not to piss off people behind you. I mean, having a light blink every time you press the brakes in morning rush hour might annoy people.

Soldered mine today to eliminate wiring issues, works much better now. As noted in the Youtube description: it looks like it has some weird partial strobe-effect (side to side) going on, but that's just an effect of the camera itself interacting with the blink rate (think trying to shoot video of a tube TV...). In real life it looks like a consistent and normal blink
You can still tell the timing, though, FWIW: |

That's pretty cool. How would we wire up the fog to do that? Could anyone post up a DIY on it? Obviously you'd have to purchase the fog light itself along with the flasher...but how would you wire it?

The flasher unit is pretty simplistic for wiring. It has 3 leads: red, blue, and black. You cut the positive wire to the brake (or fog) light and hook up the red and blue wires to the two cut ends (red towards the car, blue towards the light), and the black is just a normal ground (like the ground on the light).
