for me, removed the hood and fender clearbra that i installed a few weeks ago.

i didnt like the visible line. it stuck out like a sore thumb each time i walk into my garage and bothered the hell out of me.

oh well, $200 down the drain but at least i can enjoy looking at my car without being bothered.

That's the #1 thing that turned me off clearbra. Unless you do the entire car, the lines bother rme.

the bumper and a-pillars are one individual pieces so they look fine.

either way, Friday is my alignment appointment, so before then I'll do the bolts. Hopefully it only takes me an hour or two.

Do you have to paint the hole with anything. Someone in the other thread mentioned its aluminum so if that's the case, no rust.

Get some metal cross cut bits. They are aggressive but work really well! Also known as a deburrong bit.

$200 for a clearbra, or $200 to remove?

If it was $200 for install, no wonder you could see it. Quality ones you won't see until 2-3' from the surface. EDIT:And generally cost between $1200-$1800

He paid $200 for the Xpel product (8mm thick I believe - very noticeable I would imagine) and installed it himself. You're gonna see the line on a clear bra that thick regardless of whether a professional or a nutless monkey does the install

I wasn't about to pay someone over $1K to have a line across my hood

Just ordered rotary tool $30 with 1 day shipping on amazon. Had good reviews so hopefully it works well.

These are very useful. The only downside is they get plugged up by aluminum. I cut the holes out for the intakes literally 2 minutes.
