What did you do with your Z today V (ON TOPIC DISCUSSION ONLY)

Drove my Z in the first real snow of the year. Loved all the weird looks from people as I kept me traction while their SUVs did not. Blizzaks won

It Is A Low Cost Alternative To Dynamat. Works Exactly The Same, Just Not Made Of The Same Material. Our New Butyl Mat Is The Exact Same Material. Both Work Exactly The Same, One Just Gives Off A Faint Odor And Has A Slightly Lower Heat Tolerance.

There you go with that swype keyboard (or whatever it's called). Worlds longest book title right there.

I remember driving the 350 in the snow...the looks were priceless...winter tires are far too expensive....the insurance on my civic is less than 1 tire!

Your car look like it's crying.

My car just looked like a mess.

Ice = car looks like crap. Don't get any looks: everyone driving is equally crazy.

Snow = car can look real 'crisp' if no crap gets flung up on it. SUV drivers give you a second look....from their ditch-parking-job.

Going to wash the car today. 51 and sunny expected. I have a crap-ton of ice to remove and a bunch of saline/salt mix to wash off.

That darn VDC button seems to wear out a lot of rear tires too....Nissan should just remove it because of the cost to owners who play with it....

What fenders did you go with? Or do I have to wait for the pics?

How in the hell did you guys manage that?!?! My wife got <10K miles out of the stock RE050 rears doing DD highway miles (we did get 30K out of the fronts). I promise you she was not abusing the tires. I was not happy when I needed to replace them when the car was less than 9 months old...

And tire pressure was not a factor... I was super anal about checking things like that on the car when it was her DD. Now that it's my DD, I generally only make those checks when I work on the car or take an out of town trip. If the tire pressure is low, I can pretty much notice it before I get out of the neighborhood.

too true But I can tell you I'm getting a lot more pleasure out of my Nitto Invos and also getting more than double the mileage.

Promise all you want. She was enjoying the car!

NOTE: good to hear others take extra care for their loved-one's DD. My fiance's C300 is under a microscope daily, while I find myself inspecting my car with binoculars from time to time.

I guess my point is, even if she is enjoying the car, she's not enjoying it at the same level I do. I romped on the Invos for the last 6 months of their life (July-Dec) when it became my DD, and I got more than 10K miles out of those tires (which were 6 months old with 10K miles already on them!), which is more than my wife got out of the entire life of the RE050 rears. It just doesn't make any sense to me

The wife's DD is now an Acura lease... it doesn't get quite the love that the Z got
