Got my oil changed yesterday afternoon. While I was waiting I walked around back to peek in the service department and they were servicing a 2013 GT-R they have sitting on the showroom floor. Made me want to trade in my Z but I did not want triple the payment! It was stickered at $98k (non black edition).

So yesterday, I complained of too much traffic. On my drive home I had all the cars ahead of me pull off. After nearly 2 miles of unobstructed turns, the weather changed from dry and sunny to wet with fog. I had the VDC off so I was extra aware. Still it lit up the traction control light without consequence. Another mile and a half of twisty's, I met my first car who was still doing 70 in a 40 MPH zone. I got past him and all the way home was faster than usual. Yee Haw!

I love these Michelins in the wet.

Today started well. I zipped along without anybody in front of me. When I finally saw a car up ahead and I thought "let's catch up". just as I wound out second and put it in third I thought I saw movement in the sunlight and shade. Sure enough, a 4 point buck scrambled over a guard rail and into the road just to test my brakes or be killed.

Holy Toledo, my brakes grabbed and I heard my tires as I rapidly approached the buck. I do not know what exactly happened to my wrist but I hurt it somehow grabbing the wheel hard (?) as my other hand came back from the shift. I veered into the on coming lane a little and then back into my own (straight line braking). I missed the deer by two feet in the end so no big deal. My wrist ached for ten minutes then stopped.

I caught the car ahead a few seconds later and they too pulled off, to give me a clear drive the rest of my way.

What a day. The excitement never stops when you drive a Z.

Let my coworker drive my Z when we went out to lunch together.

He was asking about the paddle shifters (I have AT) and then all of a sudden he pulls it a couple of times, drops the tranny down a couple of gears and redlines the car

I was like "Whoa dude, slow down -- I just passed 1000 miles on the car and was holding out a few more days to get to 1200 miles to make sure the engine was broken in"

Right now there is a huge amount of deer "migrating" (or something), anyway if i go out for a drive on some backroads there is a 100% chance (no literally) of like 5 deer jumping out during the drive. I need to drive at like 35 mph, and at some points i come to a complete stop with a deer standing in the road, beeping does nothing it just stands there. So i need to drive around it. Welcome to PA.

In the *San Francisco* city (or ethical dessert if you prefer) it is bums and sanctimonious liberals (who are trying to enforce the pedestrian ALWAYS has right of way laws) not bucks that jump out in front of my car, which is probably better. I'd feel pretty bad if I hit a buck.

I swerve to avoid, but sometimes wonder why. They only scowl at you as they meander like so many lost deer back to their sidewalks and marked crosswalks.

At least the deer don't try to make you feel bad after your heroic effort not to splatter them all over the road.

Test fitted rear spats. Have to pick up some strong double sided tape or adhesive to hold them on. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1351974443.368440.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1351974452.866525.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1351974463.594083.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1351974476.235096.jpg

^ looks good. Get the 3m exterior tape rated 20 lbs / sq inch. At home depot. Might be overkill for the spats. Not too sure about the automotive 3m tape and how it holds up. For the spats it might be adequate enough.
