I went to a photoshoot in Ocotillo CA today and on my way home i did a canyon run(it was on the way home XD) with a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S and beat him(I mainly stayed in front of his through the canyon run and i eventually lost him) and when he caught up we gave each other a thumbs up and he drove off(my car was in limp mode XD)

Took it and the love of my life shopping for the last time in my life as an unmarried man. I wish I could take the Z to Saint Lucia with me. Gonna be there for a week without it.

Washed the Z this morning and drove her to dinner. Walked out to find her covered in bird crap. Here's a shot of the roof. The hood and hatch had even more. I was pissed....and spent the last 45mins washing her again. Man are the mosquitos out in full force and to hell with those birds....but the Z is clean...again...

i wanted to install my AOS but as i started to i knew i had to move the windshield washer fluid bottle. so i cut the wires to the plug and added length. then i hid them and the hose running the fluid to the spray nozzles through the rubber grommet into the cab. then i ran them to the trunk following wires that were already there so they are all hidden and out of sight. i still need to find a small little square plastic white bottle i can mount because the OEM one is to odd shaped. i'll just drill and tap the bottle and put a fitting on it to match the OEM pump with a hose. its like a 1/2 ID hose i'll need.

now i can install the AOS. i mounted it out of the engine bay since i believe most of what people catch in their catch cans is water! it looks like its all oil but its not. going from ambient temp to 200* back to ambient over and over causes a lot of condensation in a hollow big metal can. out of the engine bay the only temp swings will be a couple of degrees. this might also help with power since the manifold sucks hot dirty oil vapor into the engine from the PCV's. having the hot air go out of the engine where the outside air will hit it and cool the AOS down, the air returning to the manifold will be much cooler.

FYI, the reason i call it an AOS is because its not just a catch can. there is internal baffling that separates the oil from the air. at the bottom of the AOS is a hose with a plug that you just pull when you do an oil change and everything in the AOS will come on out. if need be you can also just pull the AOS off and break it apart to clean it real good.

So... this isn't the right forum or thread for this but I have to say something.

Kudos to you on trying to do things differently and in a way you think might be better, but... This setup is a whole lot more likely to result in condensing water inside the can than a traditionally-mounted catch can setup. We could discuss why in another thread or PMs if you wanted.

I have an vehicle inspection with RR Nissan tomorrow morning in preparation for the Nismo Performance Academy this weekend. This means I have to do my front rotors, pads and fluid change this evening (luckily I have access to a Motive Power Bleeder).

My only question is whether there is an appropriate order to do these three tasks. I'm leaning towards replacing the pads and doing the fluid flush while the old rotors are still installed. Then I'll replace the rotors and check everything before bedding the brakes. But if someone has any insight if there is a better way, please respond or PM me.
