Also if there is no speed limit posted, you can make your own!

Just mount your front plate with a servo so when you hit a switch it folds up out of sight then flip the switch the other way and its visible to the cops. Or just do like James Bond and have the rotating licence plate system ;P

I wonder if there's anything like the Z bracket; I'm adverse to mounting a front license plate on my car (although I'm just being whiny). I'm all for the "clean" look, and that means no license plates = good.

Somebody, maybe Stillen? has a front plate mount that screws onto a bolt that plugs in where the tow hook goes. Means no cutting/drilling holes into your bumper. I'd like to see one in the flesh, however before I commit. Are there locking nuts to keep the plate from rotating on the stud?

Yeah, here's the link http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...SAN&model=370Z

Yeah, here's the link STILLEN : STILLEN Front License Plate Bracket

Looks nice, and I've never seen it before, must be somewhat new.

And yeah, I'd want some proof too.

Incidentally, does the front mounting bracket come with the car? Like for free? Cuz the dealer didn't give me mine. And as I understand California vehicle code, it is illegal to deliver a car to a purchaser without it installed unless the purchaser signed a waiver that they refused installation of the front bracket...

what is your address, I will send you mine if you need it, I've got a whole box full of front plate mounts from previous cars.

Perhaps you can subpoena the car salesman into court to help fight the ticket? :bowrofl:

There is also the option that I see done to a lot of cars around Fort Hood. Four suction cups in the lower corner of the windshield! No cutting, no drilling, and no messing up the clean line of your front bumper. :happydance:

In the US, the front of the car is considered the grille area. People don't get stopped for displaying it in the windshield but I do hear that if they speed and get ticketed for speeding, they add on another ticket saying the front license plate is not attached... what a bunch of crap... I hate IL. They have the most paranoid driving rules (well, Wisconsin is a hell of a lot more strict, but still).

I'm just parroting what I was told when I bought the car. I asked the question and he said if there aren't already holes than it's not required. Being that I'll only put about 5k on the car annually, I guess that makes for less opportunity to get pulled over. Browns Nissan in Fairfax will certainly be getting a call from my lawyer if I do get a ticket.

According to my dealer, if there is no electronic speed limiter on the car, you are not required to adhere to the posted speed limit :bowrofl: :roflpuke2: :rofl2:

Brilliant idea! Thought about it myself! That would be very helpful in trying to evade cops chasing me to give me a speeding ticket :happydance:

You can make fun all you like. I got my loan homey! I drive my 370 whenever I get the feeling. You can take your piddly exchange rate and universal health car(e) and shove it up your non-qualifying bunghole homeboy. I'm not the one to get nasty wit Doncha know, eh.
