When you spot another 370z..

So I've been driving around my 40th for a few months now and have only seen a few z's around. I spot the 350 on the road a mile away with those tail/headlights and brag to myself because I have a 370.

When I spot a 370z, I chuckle inside because I have a sport package. When I spot a 370z with a sport package I grin to myself because my 40th wheels+red calipers and car color is awesomer(my opinion)

Then just yesterday... I spot a 370 Nismo on PCH and I couldn't stop thinking to myself "That mother effer!" I couldn't believe how jealous I got.

Anyone else get similar thoughts when you spot another one?

Just in case it was your Nismo, the plate read "LOVE JW" it looked damn good

Edit: we are all adults here and should not take my own natural thoughts personally. It was spotting one on the road that made me get one in the first place.

Gauge 08-17-2012 10:01 AM

I do not feel this way. lol

falconfixer 08-17-2012 10:04 AM

The only other 370 I've seen near me is identical to what I have and I think the lady driving had one foot in the grave.

Highway 08-17-2012 10:10 AM

Intredasting.

Wat do when you see a Roadster with sport package?

red6spd 08-17-2012 10:12 AM

So you drive around laughing at people who have less then you? Wa dafuk is wrong with you?

NBZ34 08-17-2012 10:13 AM

When i see another Z, i wave or give a quick dbl flash of the headlights. I really dont feel neither superior nor inferior to other models of Zs.

bigdog1250 08-17-2012 10:18 AM

Hahaha I hear what you're saying and yes I kinda think that way, though I'd still take my 40th over a Nismo. I love seeing other 370z' on the road, you get to check it out in motion which is sexy where as mine is only parked when I get to see it.

I give a wave/thumbs up to all Z drivers

Yes, because everyone is not an angel. The moral of the story is there is always something better and I was shown up. I guarantee the majority of people compare when alongside a similar vehicle. Sure parked at a "meetup" everyone is nice, but the road is a different story. So excuse me for taking pride in a vehicle I purchased myself without anyone's help. I'm not implying that you didn't buy yours on your own, but at 24 years old, that's kinda a big deal in my eyes.

Edit: I don't literally pull alongside and laugh at people or anything. It's an inside feeling.

Seems like your kind of acting like your high and mighty. The real morale of the story is keep feelings like this to yourself, nobody cares how well your doing or how you feel when you see someone with a car not as nice as yours. Just saying.

P.S I was 23 when I bought my Z Na Na Na Na Poo Poo stick you head in DOO DO.

No. Mine is loaded and I chose against Nismo intentionally. If I see a base model, I am still happy to see another Z just like mine.

gbrettin 08-17-2012 10:30 AM

I saw a Lamborghini a few days ago and felt content with what I had in comparison. I didn't get that feeling "I wish I owned that." Maybe it's an age thing? I'm 32. I guess I don't really get over whelmed with that internal jealousy feeling.

Meh

Edit:

I wave/nod to all other Z drivers too.

kenny's 370z 08-17-2012 10:33 AM

when i see another z,i immediately say,now thats another person with excellent taste

lemon-fresh 08-17-2012 10:38 AM

Wow, I'm just happy to see another Z. Not everything needs to be a competition brah.

Although I do wish other Z owners around here were as happy to see me, have only gotten one wave from a 350.

Angry much? I don't get pissed off but it appears that you do. You know the moment you get angry you lose. looks like you lost. My feeling is you are a bitter little troll and since this is America, I can say that :tiphat: If you don't like my feelings then you can take your tears elsewhere.

USMCASA 08-17-2012 10:42 AM

i saw another CY Z round where i work the other day. i was at a light and had to wait 5-7 sec before it was green so i could go. when i could go i caught up as quick as i could. it was a base CY. i waved to them since they obviously have great taste like me and bought the fastest color Z you can buy:driving:

Ever think that people are laughing at you for paying a premium for a ONCE exclusive color some paint and a few badges?

LOL, Just notice you have "Jealous" written in your car description. Are you short or something?

All give you the seats. I like the bright silver sport package color combo. It goes with gunmetal color calipers and sliver rays rims.

haha that's funny because I wasn't too sold on the seats when I first got it. The seats are growing on me, but that was the reason they were not mentioned.

I guess it must be a California thing. I should have posted this in the regional forum so people wouldn't take my natural thoughts so personally.

I don't think most people compare cars they see on the road when its another 370z. I do sometimes notice if its sport or not only so I can mention what trim when I reply to the 370z spotted thread.

Also i could have easily gotten a nismo or a 40th but honestly I really wanted the MB and did not want to do an after-market paint job (especially if the 40th) so I got what I wanted.

I also bought the 370z on my own at 24 years old as well. After i bought my house (also on my own) at 24.

I had my priorities strait and got the house first and *then* saw if I could afford a 370z as well after having the house for a few months and knowing what my total month out of pocket for everything (utilities, maintenance, etc.. was).

Just getting a 30k car at 24 doesn't mean much. I think I had my priorities in order. If I wanted to I could have easily gotten a 370z right when they came out but it would have probably delayed my house.

jlbrenne 08-17-2012 11:22 AM

I only get upset when theres another Z like mine around. For instance: a few months ago I had a 2008 350z black touring ....I lived in Indianapolis at the time and there were not many of those around (same color, model, mods ect). Then I moved to Atlanta and every where I go I see 350Z especially black!!!! same mods!!! I would get pissed....SO, I upgraded to a 370z Black Roadster!!! Only one around here with that particular car and mods that I have. I have seen some black coupes here and there but thats it. Personally, I dont want something that everyone else has-but thats just me- AND thats what MODS are for right!!

So, I think I know where your going with your statement!!!!!

My comment was directed at a different post and not a general comment. As I said before, on a forum or at a meetup its a different feeling than randomly running into one on the road. When you're in your car and on the road, Only other cars and the road exist.

I didn't go on about my solid gold toilet seat. It's an in the moment on the road thing.

Maybe I should start a thread on rainbows and unicorns so people don't take my thoughts the wrong way and get offended.

LOL man, I said the same thing when I purchased my Charger in 2006. It was badass then and now its every other car I see. It's nice to not see someone else driving your car every day, or even every week. Makes you feel like you're the only one driving one.

Coon-azz 08-17-2012 12:25 PM

Sounds like a 24 yearl old to me....just my opinion and sticking to it. Enjoy the car. :tiphat:

MightyBobo 08-17-2012 12:30 PM

The only time I feel like this, is when I see a V6 Camaro/Mustang, or other vehicle where the performance version is clearly the ONLY choice I could possibly make.

Worse, when someone throws an exhaust on a lesser motored version of these cars.

However, option packages on the same car? Get outa here, especially when all of them have almost identical performance.

I bet you hit the nail on the head, guys should leave this to girls. Makes you sound like a bit ch lol

But you shouldn't ever think this way.

We will never be equal. Or be able to afford the same.

Whenever I see a z, only thing I do is try to find out who is driving it because I am curious.. (male, female, old, young, dog, cats)
