Initially I wasn't planning on modding my vehicle but when I received my 2012 I had to get the nismo again. Sometimes I still do wish I got the base with the sports touring package but I was accustomed to the look and feel, plus the limited amount and how rare they are. It's not everyday you see a NISMO on the road. But my opinion go with base because of money and you will aid up changing the tune anyways.

To date I believe that the $3000 dealer option sports pack is one of the best bang for the buck upgrades I've ever seen especially for the manual transmission.

Base sport if you do not want body kit.

I highly disagree with this... The rims are 4 grand alone, then add the tires, then add the body kit and paint... your already probably around 10 grand with no mods...

+1

If you buy the base and go after performance you'll come out over a Nismo!

If you buy the base and mod the exterior you'll spent more than just sticking with the Nismo!

That statement might be right for buying a new one. But he said he is looking for a slightly used one. So there won't be $10k difference(far less than that). Plus, if he really likes the Nismo kit, there is NOTHING better then the factory bodykit out of the box. EVERY aftermarket kit will have flaws here and there if you've been there before. And some of them will make you really frustrating and end up spending more money and time.
yea, i plan on keeping my next car for a long time; i've wanted a Z since i was like 12 and now i can finally afford one haha. this nismo's used that i've seen have only been like 3-5k more than the base models. it's just hard to find base models in pearl white.
