Torque Steer or Wheelspin?

I wanted to ask a simple question, I even put "forgive my ignorance". I sort of expected a genuine answer instead of derp responses.

It will also depend on the level of the surface and the thread wear of your tires.

Wow... if you gotta ask us what happened??? You shouldn't be driving like you know how to drive. What you most likely experienced was wheel slip from very uneven ground which is very common on frequently traveled roads. Overacceleration was the action that caused it.

This thread is complete fail...

If you were driving forward then it was wheel spin. If you were going backwards then it was torque steer. Why on earth would you need to launch like that? Ride out your revs in each gear, smoothly, until 4.5K and you'll be blowing by highway traffic in a matter of seconds. Your traction control kept you and several other drivers alive that time around. Sheesh!

You can't have torque steer without a steerable wheels. The back wheels do not steer only the front. Front wheel drive cars with more than 200 HP or an in balanced design with be affect by torque steer and the definition is when one wheel is spun with more torque than the other which pulles the steering wheel to one side or another.

(sigh) Hey guys, if I pull my E-break while mid turn.... my wheels screech. What is it? Torque steer or wheelspin? .....lol

(sarcasm off)

Your tires aren't getting enough traction. Like the guys said above... wheelspin. Could be worn treads on your tires, or dust on the road, or you driving like a madman.

It's not normal. You gotta take it back to the dealership. You got a lemon.
