Also, it was well known that the 5.0 is the faster car when you got your Z so I'm not sure what you were expecting.

As long as it's lighter with massive grip and sexy appeal.
I could not care if it's Turbo'd.

LOL at being stuck with a slow base 370Z that needs 10,000 worth of mods just to hang with the big boys.
I wont miss this car one bit. I actually swore i wouldnt buy another Nissan after the horrible problems with my 2005 Frontier. Another mistake i have to live with.
Apparently you cant read and/or you choose not to research things before you buy them. First off I own a Slomo 370z. Second, I test drove all kinds of different vehicles including multiple 5.0s before I purchased my 370z. I wanted this car as soon as I saw the spy shots for it, and I did my research like any sane person would do before buying a vehicle. Dont get mad at me because you are to lazy to click a mouse a few times, and go to dealerships to take test drives.
Have fun being stuck in your lease of your slow piece of jap crap. :driving:

and what reasons would that be? Looks and Handling? Looks are subjective and the Mustang handles almost as good as an M3 which cost 50K plus.
370Z isnt worth the cost price, thats why they dont sell that well and Nissan is looking in different directions pretty sad for a car that should be an entry level sport car at 30-35K
Im so confused as to why you are in a 2012 Z then? I could maybe understand your anger if you had just leased a brand new 09 or 10 before anyone new anything about the 5.0, but that bish has been out forever, yet you still chose the Z. Sounds to me like the Z has some intangible quality that sucked you in. thats what it was for me anyway. I couldnt be happier unless I was in a ZO6.
I know you already feel pretty damn awful, but here is something to make you feel better.

Relax, I didn't say you're making a bad choice or doing something stupid. Like I said, the 5.0 is a great car. I am not saying the Z outhandles the 5.0 or will beta it on the track or anything. The Mustang handles great and is a very capable car, but I am sure it feels different than the Z. The Z is a good blend of looks, fun, handling and enough speed for me. Do I read forums and look at numbers and get desire for more power? Of course, we all do. But I haven't had an instance in actual driving where I thought I really need more power. It would just get me into trouble anyway which I can already get into easy enough with the power we already have.
Anyhow, no need to be defensive. The Z isn't a perfect car or the greatest car out there, but there are plenty of us who are happy with it. It's alright that you are not. If you want pure speed or the absolute fastest car, then it's not it, though and that seems to be what you want and that's cool too. You must understand, though, that you will get some flames for bashing a car on it's own forum site.
Im not even flaming him for bashing the Z for being slow, because lets face it, it kind of is. Im bashing him for getting himself stuck in a lease and then bitching about it because he didnt by another car that has been out for years now, has a plethora of reviews out there, and could have been test driven til his hearts content.

Didn't think it was big flames. I was just trying to diffuse the situation before it derailed this thread too much.
If it was all about raw numbers, everyone would drive like 3 different cars for their needs so there are definitely intangibles to owning and loving a car. I won't say my Z is faster than a 5.0 but I would definitely still rather have my Z.

Like i said im glad i leased the car because the 370Z didnt turn out to be what i expected, I dont know if having a sport package or anything would of changed my mind. Also Im talking about the 2013 Mustang coming out in the next month or two i was planning on waiting for before i got the Z.
I drove so many different cars even was going to be a wannabe baller and lease the M3 or C63 AMG but yes ive always loved the old school 240Z and my cousins had a twin turbo 300ZX and love the looks of the 370z for sure but in 3 years no more Nissan for me.

Now you are talking about a whole other class of vehicles. You sound like you still dont know what the hell you want and/or will never be happy. :shakes head:

On a lighter note, how's this for daydreams.
Next Z should aim to be like this cayman alpha at 1/4 the the price tag. Yep impossible but fun to think about.
