Perhaps residents nearby have complained about speeders, passing, racing, etc. Find out accident/death stats for that road...this can make or break your case. You were vague, so I cannot advise specifically who to contact.

I have no doubt some body complained. About what I have no clue, all of the above I suppose; speeders, passing, racing. No deaths. No drive ways, no homes, no crashes, no intersections.

WEST MARIN

Officials may call for a slow-down on a portion of Panoramic Highway in West Marin.

The Board of Supervisors on July 10 is expected to reduce the speed by 5 mph on a section of roadway from Highway 1 to Sequoia Valley Road, where the new limit would be 40 mph.

The county has set a public hearing on the plan after a speed survey indicated that 45 mph was a bit too much.

As usual a touchy feely thing. A bit too much. So I realize I am F'd in the A. The speed survey they are talking about must have been when more police enforcement than I had ever seen, including radar sitting and citations went on for weeks. I still count my blessings during this period.
