370Z vs SS Camaro vs 135i
370Z: 31k (roughly)

Meanwhile, I have never bought an American car before, but with those numbers and the Dale Earnheart Jr. concept car it was too jucy to overlook. Depends on what you want out of the car. Is it going to be your daily driver or weekend / track car? If you're concerned about the modability, I think all three cars will have a great diverse aftermarket after some time. Personally I chose the 135 because I wanted something that had more room, power and luxury than my old s2k. The 135 doesn't handle as good as the s2k or have as precise of a shifter, but the pros outweighed the cons in my circumstance. As for the 370z, it looks like Nissan did their homework and is going to make a great car for the money.

My dad is gonna buy a 2010 Camaro SS. He's on Camaro5.com. He said Chevy engineers managed to screw a 4.6 0-60 time and a sub 13 1/4 mile (btw it has launch control). The Camaro is gonna be awesome on the straits. But the Z would just destroy it in the corners. As for the 135i, its ugly as **** and $37K, not $34.

Funny, my current favorites for a car I could afford boils down to those three cars (135i/Camaro/370Z). After seeing the cars at SEMA and at the LA Auto Show (including the new MX5 and the S2000) I found myself comparing everything to the 370Z. By the next day my mind was made up - the 370Z wins. Funny, since I went to the show expecting to fall for the 135i.

All the three are nice looking cars, the camaro is waaaaaay too heavy and will only be useful in a place without turns, bring it to the track and you will be last. The 370z is the most powerfull. But I think will never ride as pleasant as the 135 does. Ride both then compare.
If you want the best value for your money, or maybe single and don't care too much about ride quality or back seat space then the 370z is your way to go. In the other hand if you want a pleasant ride with a little bit of luxury feel, or if you need a back seat, then buy the 135. But bimmers are not cheap and 37K is about what you will end up paying. |

Now as Alefcole said, if you're looking for a nice 4 seater and you don't have 74K dollars in your bank to get a GTR, 135i will give you good bang for the money. I actually had a chance to take 135i for a "spirited" drive and I know what the car is capable of. BMW did their homework and the 135i is a great car if you're looking for a 4 seater sports coupe. BUT if you love 2 seater sports car(like me) then you can't go wrong with the 370Z. I am not a big fan of 4 seaters coupes. It just doesn't give me the true sports car feel. All the magazines and automotive sites are very happy with the new 370Z. It's a great drag strip car with a lot of HP/tq for straight line performance but in the twisty, you'll feel it's heavy weight and inability to turn as quick as the Z or 135. I like the look but Camaro is a NO GO for me :thumbsdown: Finally, I'd like to say that both 135i and 370Z are great cars but when it comes to $$$ versus performance, Z is a winner hands down. |
2010 SS Camaro= A beautiful brick. Gorgeous but heavy as hell. Added bonus It can transform into a giant robot when you purchase the Michael Bay package.
135i= Beautiful but Paying more with little room to grow, unless you own a bank.(Oh wait you would already be broke :D) Two extra seats is a plus though. 2009 370Z=Best bang for your buck, no rear seats, but huge potential. Handling is yet to be seen, from my own personal stand point, but I think few will be disappointed. I'd say the 135i or the 370Z I'm obviously going for the fully loaded 370.:driving: |

Oh man, I drove the crap out of the 135i and didn't think it was ANYTHING special at all. I went in the dealer thinking 335i power in lighter cheaper car and left thinking "uh, that was not cheap and its slow"
I don't think the 135i will be a problem for the z on the track or the street. The Camaro will be faster on the street, but add some turns and the Z comes out ahead. Pricewise Z wins hands down Creature comforts go to the BMW hands down |
SS will guzzle too much gas for my liking.
Love the 135i but I find it just too expensive. Z?............Just right... o yeh and I forgot to answer the question, ready? Kill kill. And that's all. |
