Me dont like black!
I been trying to like the black wheels but it doest seems too look good on my Z cu'z everytime i see a car with a blacked out rims specially from a distance it looks like the person got a flat tire and use a set of four spare tires. The car looks dull and lacking dimensions and details but then i think it's just me . I also asked my wife if i pait my rims with a flat black and she say dont ever do it as the car will look ugly and cheap.
Am i really the only one who dont like blacked out rims, headlight, badge etc. as it seems like most members here prefered black than the traditional silver paint.:confused: |
both my cars have matte black wheels... needless to say I am a fan!

Enter gunmetal
Bronze!!!!!!!! |

I'm not a fan of it myself.

Ya black wheels are kinda played a lot of people have them. I think black wheels are fine but perfer silver, polished wheels. If you dont like black wheels then don't do it if your writing this.
|
the stock wheels look good in the factory color. this includes the 40th wheels in its distinct darker color.
it really depends on the design |
gunmetal is definitely sweeter than most colors.
I prefer gold and bronze. |

On certain cars, I think black wheels can look OK. Normally this is only on lighter colored cars where the black wheels contrast more with the light color of the car. But I am not a fan of them most of the time, it makes the wheels look smaller, harder to maintain, and takes away from the design of the wheels. Bronze is a great color for wheels.
And everyone around socal has blacked out wheels. I even see grandpas/grandmas driving around with blacked out wheels, so played out. |

|
That's like saying drinking beer is played out.

I'm not sure if black wheels are played out yet, but give it 15 minutes or so. :p |
I'm a fan of them, especially if the wheels are for the track.
|
i think the general public prefers silver wheels...
when i ran my weds (gunmetal) only greasy doods looked and  when i ran my silver factory wheels, different kinds of people looked and smiled. |

I really like some of the blacked out ones that i have seen-but not all by any means-just love the individuality of each Z...THAT is the great part! To each his own-if YOU love it-wow! I will too!

Another rim I see alot is the black with the polish lip. If i had to go black i would go matte over gloss. |

Agree with all black color rims got no dimensions. That's why I went with Gunmetal Ti color...

I personally don't like black wheels either. The stock color looks great IMO. Gunmetal and bronze also have their own characters.
