Not a fan of black rims and would not put it on my car, but I have seen a few that I thought looked okay.

"Everyone's doing it" = trendy = no longer edgy = played out.

I'm not sure if black wheels are played out yet, but give it 15 minutes or so. :p

I'm a fan of them, especially if the wheels are for the track.

i think the general public prefers silver wheels...

when i ran my silver factory wheels, different kinds of people looked and smiled.

An expample of played out exhaust would be the honda civic with the loud fart can exhaust thats played out. But a nice high end quality exhaust thats a different story.

Is drinking water played out? or going to the movies? or waking up for work in the morning? I mean people have been doing lots of things for 100s of years that arent "played out" Now if every single car had black wheels, then maybe you could say thats played out... other than that I dont agree at all. I really like some of the blacked out ones that i have seen-but not all by any means-just love the individuality of each Z...THAT is the great part! To each his own-if YOU love it-wow! I will too!:tup:

Another rim I see alot is the black with the polish lip. If i had to go black i would go matte over gloss.

Agree with all black color rims got no dimensions. That's why I went with Gunmetal Ti color...:tup:

I personally don't like black wheels either. The stock color looks great IMO. Gunmetal and bronze also have their own characters.
