would suck to drive on rural roads with tall grass blowing in the wind towards the road. will be like watching a novice MT driver practicing how to work the clutch...

As stated, there are far too many variables in everyday driving for the entire process to be automated. Trading bad drivers for malfunctioning computers isn't the answer.

At least you can do something about a bad driver.

sorry, but i dont like the idea of cars being able to communicate electronically...next thing you know your driving through a bad neighborhood and the 16 year old car jacker kills your engine by sending a kill signal wirelessly to your car and unlocks your doors while he's at it.

eventually since it is eletrconic..... people may try to hack the system so it wont work properly or plant some sort of Virus.

if it comes to this type of driving.... they better come with an Manuel override incase something does infact go wrong... because we all know Computers are ALWAYS right and nothing goes wrong lol

I don't doubt that some day computers might take over driving. Did anyone believe 50 years ago that all cars would have ECUS in them?

I can only imagine some of these same arguments back then. "what if the computer dies and it leaves me stranded? I can always fix my carb with my tools in the trunk"
