Regardless of what Nissan does with its Z-car redesign, we agree wholeheartedly that a redesign is necessary. The 370Z was a disappointment to most enthusiasts and it really is a far cry from the Z-cars of yesteryear. Kudos to Nissan for seeing a problem and fixing it. Now let’s see if Nissan can do this the right way without ruining its legendary Z-car.
I love my car... idk what this guys talking about.

it was leaps and bounds better then the 350z.

tho I will admit, I would love to see a new 300Z TT <3

Doing TT would vastly increase the price point and make it compete with luxury cars abd the Shelby and ZL1. That's what happened to the 300ZTT. I had one a long time ago. Plus I have ridden in 240, 260, and 280 models. The start price point of a TT z would be north of 40 some K. At that level they simply won't sell much to the market demographic they target.

they could do like they did with the 300ZX. Make an NA version, similiar to the current gen, and a TT version

or make the NISMO TT

If they downsize the engine and then add TT, they can keep the price the same. That's what a lot of manufacturers are doing with their cars these days.

even if they stick with teh VQ37.. the technology is there... just a lil r&D for OEM piping...

it would be cool to see a factory VQ with lil 16g's

I doubt they will stick with the VQ37 just for fuel efficiency reasons. Direct injection should also come into play for the next Z.

Do You guys think a single Turbo Is possible? That would keep costs down.

probably a lot more r&d and tuning issues which would drive cost baack up.
unless they went inline 6

b1adesofcha0s 07-26-2012 12:05 PM

I highly doubt the car will come from the factory with a single turbo.
