370Z spare tire

According to my user manual, some dealerships offer a spare and some don't. The parts dept clerk at Woodchester Nissan in Mississauga ON where I bought the Z didn't seem to know much about spares. He told me a spare would cost me about $1400 for a matching aluminum alloy rim then so much for the tire. Then he said it wouldn't fit in the trunk anyway so I'd need a plain steel 17" or 18" rim and tire to fit into the spare's depression in the trunk. No mention of a special donut tire. Less than helpful. I'm transferring my flag to another dealership.

I actually had a look at my spare last weekend. Took it out just so I'd be familiar in case it was dark, shitty weather etc and make sure it has 60 psi. I was surprised at how nice the actual spare rim looks.

I have a red 2012 sport, I was thinking black rims on the red would look fantastic now this really has me wondering if I should go aftermarket 19" black rims. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
