Good Price for my Z?

Hi everyone!
So I'm new to the Nissan world. I just bought my 2012 370z 2 days ago brand new from a dealership. I got the sports package with lsd and rev match thing with the rims, chin, and spoiler thats standard on the sports package zs. I was wondering if $32000 without including taxes is a good deal with 0%apr for 60 months. I know I got a godly deal on my trade-in s2000 for $12000 (it had two holes in the top, missing many panels, shift knob because it broken into headlight out and everything) haha good thing they didn't test drive it and that I brought it in at night time but yeah can people throw out what they paid for their Z's without taxes and stuff and then with?

Magic Bus 07-13-2012 02:34 AM

Sounds like a good deal to me. Enjoy the ride & Congratulations!

BlackDemonZ 07-13-2012 02:43 AM

thanks! i havent had a chance to smash yet because i havent gotten insurance but I look forward to it :D

11Thumper 07-13-2012 03:03 AM

Fair price. I paid $33,500 I think for my '11 but I have the 7AT and some accessories they always throw on it. Plus they had to transfer it 500 miles on a trailer. You're going to miss the S...

BlackDemonZ 07-13-2012 03:33 AM

haha yeah when all the papers were signed I looked at my S and I never thought it looked nicer. then i took one final spin and I regretted the situation up until I showed off the new car to my friends. But the s kept getting broken into and there were some problems with the tranny and motor.. the z is a head turner over the s though for sure. Thanks for the reply!

I think its is an "OK" deal. I think you should have gotten a better deal especially with a trade in because i got my in Los Angeles ,California in the valley where every car is more expensive here due to demand. I got it $34,400 for a 2012 with sports package and splash guards taxes and regis. Excluded. I think if you haggeled more you could've gotten a better deal but still not bad its good for that price.

Not sure I follow, and want to make sure I understand what you are saying. Did you finance $32,000 at the 0%, or was it somewhere closer to $20,000 plus taxes after your S2000 trade?

If closer to $20,000 financed, then really good deal. (My Base was just under $33,000 OTD.) If you financed the $32,000 plus taxes, and that was after the trade-in allowance, then you just paid over $44,000 which is not a good deal.

MattP725 07-13-2012 05:56 AM

I think it was def a good deal. You always see the best prices at year end clearance time. The '13s are shipping so they need these gone.

nepali 07-13-2012 09:01 AM

OP, you have already bought the Z. Quit worrying about how much you paid and just enjoy the car now! :) And, btw, congratulations! :D

Nismo89 07-13-2012 10:09 AM

yea it sounds like you got one heck of a deal, congrats...enjoy the ride!

first time Zer? lifetime hooked? :p

You're just hating cause you got a bad deal :nutswinger:

Your not considering that he made out on his S2000... that all goes in to the bottom line. Getting 10k for the s2000 and 30k for the Z or 12k for the trade in and 32k for the Z is six of one half dozen of the other.

kenchan 07-13-2012 12:49 PM

32 sounds good. mine was lower but then the price of the car at invoice was lower 3yrs ago. :icon17:

The guy bought his car for $32,000. You paid list for your car $34,400($2,400 more than he did). You're telling him that he could have done better:confused:
Is there stuff in the water where you live????

You received the best deal in America..

brucelidat 07-13-2012 01:51 PM

great deal, you're way below invoice (almost 2k) i assume you got all the mats too since they're pretty much included in every car. Did you also get the splash guards and illuminated kick plates?

I financed just 20,000 the car was 32 out the door was like 35k with taxes and stuff

dmhenderson 07-13-2012 09:15 PM

Yeah that's a fantastic deal. Hope there's nothing wrong with it and/or your salesman didn't off himself once his manager saw the contract.

I got all the mats just not the illumintated kick plates and splash guards. I feel a lot more comfortable because sometimes those guys can make you feel like you got a good deal when in fact when you go home everyone tells you you got ripped off.

Thanks for all the replies guys!

It's a small matter but I would like to understand it. $32,000-$12,000(trade)=$20,000. Tax on $20,000 around $1,500? + stuff $200? That adds up to $21,800apx. Even if you took $32,000+tax+stuff that would be $33,800 with tax & stuff. Lets make it an even $34,000. Where did the other $1,000 bucks go? :icon17:

Let's see your purchase order or it never happened. :)

OP is in California. California does not give credit for trade-ins. So the tax was on $32,000 which is $2640 in tax because San Jose has a 8.25% tax rate.

WOW! In California all you do is pay, pay & pay. What a shame.
Thanks for the info.....

the A man 07-15-2012 06:57 PM

Listen people im not saying he got a bad deal im just saying he got a average deal like at anyother dealership. .

I got mine for $34500 with no down or trade-in ,now imagine what i would have gotten with a trade like maybe with a S2000 i would probably have gotten it for $30,000 at the most so before some of you jump ahead and attack others please read their post throughly.

Anyway man enjoy the ride its fun and its ok to turn off the traction sometime to have fun

Yo thanks I just wanted to say they offered me one for around 34100, got mine for 32000 out the door was like 35k or something. They were offering me 10000 for my car and went to 12 after awhile I had to call back and forth from dealerships to drop the price and my credit was no good so he offered to buy the "rate buydown'' ( dont know if thats real or made up) haha but yeah insurace is a b****!

Magic Bus 07-17-2012 09:00 PM
