Yawn! My 05 Altima has this same feature. Just goes to show you, that there are a lot of people who can't read in the good old U S of A.

you guys may not believe this but i swear it works.....

if there is enough tension on your gas cap door when you push the unlock on your fob the door will pop open. not wide open but it will release it's self....

Good morning forum! I have had my base model Z since late may and have just found out that..

OUR WINDOWS ROLL DOWN WHEN WE PRESS & HOLD ON TO OUR UNLOCK BUTTON!

Thought it was a cool find and not sure if everyone knows about this (friend of mine with a sport model Z can do the same thing, but did not find out through his 2 years of ownership).

This trick could be well known, but I hope this post will help some of the members out!

Hope it works out for everyone! :tiphat:

Guys... I will still give him some credits cos at least he didn't think the power windows are defects... LOL

I can confirm this! It does work. Although more of a tension for me bc now I'm always worrying if it's open or not lol

Now the old Nissan/Datsun used to talk. It would say the lights are on or key is in the ignition and other crap. Don't know why they don't today and that was back in the 80s.

It's actually nowhere in the Reference Guide for the Z, you have to go through the Full Manual to find that out.... It should have been in the reference guide, seems an obvious place to put it since they get into Key features :shakes head:

lol, OP is going to flip when he finds out there's a second accessory plug in the center armrest and that the starter button can be replaced with the one from the GT-R.

That's because the latch (for opening and closing by hand) and the lock (from the lock status of the car's security system) are separate. The latch is a spring-loaded two-state latch, and the lock is just a slide-lock.

So, if the lock is locked and you go manually press the gas door it "opens" the latch, but the lock holds the door closed. Then when you hit the unlock the latch finishes springing open.
