In that regard, isn't th brz/frz heavier than the Z? Am i missing something?

Just by going off of this, you obviously never drove a miata, or Mini cooper S

Even though those cars don't have high HP, they deliver a different feel, and a sporty one at that.

They feel quick and nimble and i am willing to bet the BRZ feels the same way.

Those cars don't need HP for fun, they offer a unique experience imo.

You're right... but in that respect you are completely omitting that the Z also gives a unique driving experience. Even moreso than the BRZ/FRS... why I say that? Well let's see how many cars can offer that experience? FRS, BRZ, Miata, mini cooper, and used cars like the S2k, Rx8 and MR2.
In the Z's class, there's only the Z or a new or used cayman. That's it. Riding on rails and nimble handling is enormous fun. But having a 10% reduction in handling on the Z and a 50% power advantage makes for a more interesting car all around. The Z is more versatile in its useage in the sports arena. Though it may a jack of all and master of none. The Z's cards come close enough that a great driver can always maneuver around the Z's handicaps.

Both cars are nice. It depends what you can afford. Personally, I would rather have a house than a Z but if you can afford both even better. I'm still thinking about trading for a Mustang lol

Test drove an FRS the other day and the thing lacked power... felt like a civic when speeding up to merge. The steering did feel great though, possibly better if not the same as my Z stock for stock imo. Two different cars for two different kinds of people imo, I don't get why people are arguing or trying to compare them lol. In my eyes, the BRZ/FRS is more for people who like tight courses like auto x and don't care too much for speed/torque. The BRZ/FRS isn't exactly sloow but it's not exactly fast either, the handling is amazing. The numbers on the paper alone should tell people that the cars are on two different classes in regards to power and $

There was a post in that thread with a guy saying that he finds it more fun to beat the sh*t out of his car to merge on the hwy, hearing all the right sounds and stuff... I don't know, maybe it's just me but I wouldn't want to have to beat the living hell out of my car just to be able to merge on the highway Have done that before with my last civic lol. Much rather enjoy having the ability to pass people or merge on the hwy while keeping it under 4k rpm, and at the same time still have the option to downshift and WOT it to feel the tug while merging on the highway

I'm just kidding. Thing is... I really don't give a fvck. Everything people are saying on how the brz can compare to a Zin the utmost fantasyish theoretical sense of it feeling more sporty to drive vs having them both really battle it out on a track.
So whatever said... its all Bvllsh1t till it happens.

Last thing. Its funny, I bet if you were to backtrack on some posts on these guys from a year or two ago, they were most likely sating things like...

1). I can't wait for this FRS to come out. I really want a Z but its 35k+ with sport pkg and 2 seat sports cars kill on insurance. I can't afford it.
2). I'm really glad they are making a lightweight sports car like the FRS. Can't wait till it comes out. I'm just praying it comes with turbos so it can have power to match the Z.
3). If toyota doesn't come out with this. I. Will buy a used Z. I rather buy a new car. So the FRS is a better compromise for me. I don't trust used. Maybe from here to there I will get a promotion and be able to afford a Z after all.
4) my mortgage and kids won't allow to spend 35k on a proper Z. I will take a 25k FRS. Its right up my alley in price. I would get a gencoupe but rather wait to see what toyobaru does.

Now that the car is out... they want to forget all about the Z c0cksucking and what they really wanted to begin with. They bought the inferior powered car and can't handle it the fact they do 15.3 to 15.6 second quarters. So they have to say something bad about that 13.1 to 13.4 second car. Then talk smack about how our cars can't handle even though we pull like 1g @ 74ish mph. Lol. Whatever.

Typical suburban materialistic insecurity BS

Drove the new stang wasn't impressed. Bought a 2010 40th instead. If you want pure power and no finesse buy a corvette. I think the Z is the whole package especially if you modify it a bit.

Why not just buy a Miata? I saw a FRS on the road yesterday I thought it looked from the rear like it had a stubby nose. The interior I saw at the car show looked cheap too which I suppose you can replace but then your spending alot just to get a car that performs and looks like a Z. I don't get it.
