Thanks all for your well wishes! I am glad that me and my baby are okay and no actual collision occurred!! Which motivates me now that I have to learn defensive driving.....

Really, is that right? That's unbelievable, and just perpetuates the stereotype about Azn female drivers!! Well, now you know an Azn female who drives a 6MT PW 370 and proud of it!! I think I'm a good driver, but I guess you won't see proof unless we meet on the road....

Asian females stuck in BMWs. Why does that not surprise me? Funny, I've driven an M3 before, but I never wanted to own a BMW. I've always had my eye on the Z. OKay, and the Aston Martin.

Unfortunately for me, every accident or near accident has been is was caused by a female driver. The worst in my area are the moms in the SUV's or Mini Vans that do 50 MPH in the passing lanes, don't check their blind spots, don’t use blinkers, and flick people the finger when someone returns the favor. The worst part is it’s usually a car full of kids....Then again, I guess I'd be pissed at the world too if I had to drive mini-van. Ohhhhhhhh! Just kidding.....
OUCH on the mini-van comment! So hurt! But yeah, soccer mums. It's all good. Driving's a skill, just like cooking, photography, and everything else. You can't have it all. If you did, people will be jealous!!

Did you chew her out and let her know what an idiot she was? The problem with the Asian drivers who suck (I am Asian, BTW) is that they have no awareness of anything outside of their car since they are completely self centered and inconsiderate. Nothing else matters to them other than themselves. I have noticed that the Asians born here are better than the ones who are straight here from the mainland (China).

On a different note, I once saw an old white lady stop in the middle of an intersection while turning because the light went red. That is a completely different story, though. Old people...

Glad you're okay and all is well. I know how you feel when I drive down to my city's Chinatown area. I take extra precaution.

Well said. You were so right with Chinese drivers from the mainland. When they change lines they just slap on the turning signal and they change, not giving a crap abour whos behind them. They were never taught to shoulder check.

I understand exactly how you feel being asian and living in Richmond, I have been almost side scraped by ML/Q7/MDX/X6 so many times that it's just second nature to me nowadays. I think they need to make people with records of dangerous driving/accidents retake the license every year with the car they drive daily... so many drivers of SUVs don't even bother shoulder checking T_T

It woulda elevated it from stereotype to indisputable fact.

That's why I hate when I have to ride my bike on the I-10 through the Alhambra area in SoCal. And Op, I'm glad everything turned out ok.

This story pisses me off. Reckless spoiled brats endangering others. If I was rich I wouldn't spoil my kids (if I had any) because it just makes them into wuss-*** little douchebags. They'd be lucky if the Civic or Versa class car they get is new.

No, I didn't chew her out; just honked out of sheer reaction. I'm too much of a softie! Yeah, I agree with you about the Azns from mainland vs ones born in N.America. So, I'm Asian too, first generation born here but not raised here. Just so you know. But no worries, I didn't take offense to your comment.

I once heard of an elder Asian lady waltzing in to get her drivers licence, not speaking any English, and brought a translator with her! She was so demanding and felt that she deserved to get her licence just like everybody else.

Makes me angry too. Very angry. But I also feel sorry for them. When parents give their children such expensive cars at a young age, it ruins them, you know? It's human nature that they will take things for granted, not work hard but expect lots, get cocky and irresponsible, and not understand the value of money/making money.

I had to work hard for everything, and when I finally bought my Z, it's my first car ever, and I bought it myself after completing school. Before that, I took the bus like everyone else. Nothing ever came easy for me, but I persevered through it. And so I can really appreciate things and be thankful for overcoming hardships.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm glad all is well too! Me n' my baby took a scare at that moment. My heart was racing and her tires squealed! LOL Good suggestion on taking extra precaution.

It's illegal to talk on the phone and drive where I live. They say this new law will help decrease the number of accidents, but I don't necessarily think so!
