Guess what!? Got called a rice rocket by mustang and Brz owners. Stepped out of 7-11 today with my slurpee and 2 guys standing around my 2012 stock Pearl white sport/navi 6mt bad mouthing it. I was like wtf?:mad:

At the end of the day, you have a Z that handles far superior and is far quicker than the mustang and BR-Z can ever dream of. That is, if they're all stock. Don't worry about it!

#1 Don't worry about about what Mustang owners think, it's not an issue.

#2 The Brz guy is wishing he had your car but needed someone who would listen to him whine (see above) and no one with a decent car was listening. (also see above)

Basically the more they comment about your car the more they are complementing you odd as it may sound.

Of course if you have a huge aluminium wing, louder exhaust than a B52 and rims with spinners you may have deserved the comment... :icon14:

still better than having a clone car (mustang). they are hating, simply. i left my house and saw 5 sh*tstangs within two city blocks. i saw one 370 in the whole city since march since i bought mine.

I would have walked by them rubbing my johnson and saying, "Damn it feels like someone is biting jock hard while unlocking my car with the remote in front of them." That usually makes guys feel like lil b1txhes. Works everytime.

I choose the Z over every other car in its class because of its rarity on the road, as well as its unique appearance. Not to mention it's Japanese and the low cost of ownership.

What's funny is, at least around here, I see more riced-out Mustangs and Camaros than I do import cars. There's still a few crazy-ricer civics floating around, but generally speaking all the really outrageous cars I see lately with stupidly-configured cosmetic wing/wheel/body mods are the domestics.

Yeah, we dont seem to have to many here in NOLA either. Including mine, I have only seen about 6 or 7 on the road total since they dropped.

This is just me, but this is the same thing I see with posers in the motorcycle community I ride in. I've been riding for over 20 years and I've come to enjoy many different makes and models. It's about NOT fitting in when you buy exclusive styles; rather than seeing yourself at every stop light. I hate it when HD "bikers" ride up and give me a thumbs up on my scoot until they realize its not a HD; its a honda VTX. Then they get pissed when I blow by them without even shifting gears; (1800cc's). To me, I don't care what kind of motorcycle or car you drive, as long as you drive! When I see posers bashing some dudes ride, I think, "this is why I hate so many clubs." I'd drive anything someone put in front of me to learn more about it and come to understand WHY they like theirs ride. I get all kinds. In fact, this morning on my ride in, I saw a 240 that looked like it was a Work In Progress. Still ran great and sounded sweet. Now, I'm not a big fan of the stock 240's, however, this guy did a great job on it so far. Knowing how much work goes into modifications ($ and time) I can appreciate his mod's on what seems like a small budget (just guessing only based on his appearance). However, I've seen some great Honda's, some great Ponies and others that I'd love to get to know. IMO, if you're doors are closed to just one brand, you’re a damn poser and might as well own a trailer queen. These are usually the inexperienced douc bags that talk all kinds of **** at the car shows... just stay away from 'em and enjoy what you got to its fullest. These are generally people who want you to be JUST LIKE them instead of being an individual. Be yourself and drive the Z. It’s a great car. Ya know, sometimes I win a race, sometimes I lose it. This car isn't the best (IMO) for straight line racing, but in the turns, I'm going to at least catch up or leave you behind. At the end of the day, enjoy the fact that you and someone else’s got to share the passion for hot rods. I think people are surprised when I congratulate them at the next light if they win. Hey, even if I win (that time) I try to pay them respect for all their hard work. You never know...next week that car that lost to you, could blow your doors off.

I think thats out dated now. "Keep your friends close and eliminate your enemies" works better for me. :tup:

Which part of NOLA you from? I live on the westbank (Marrero), but usually drive all over the city. I actually havent seen any pearl whites like mine but a couple of silvers and black 370's. :tiphat:
