I nearly bumped into somone the other day and i knew they were there. i was trying to move to the right lane from center, and i thought maybe they just turned off, sure enough they were still there. I finally decided to install small convex mirrors on the near corners of the outside mirrors. they work amazing. i thought they would look ugly but they dont look bad at all. my first idea was to install some small cameras looking outside the blindspot windows, that was too much wiring and work. settled on the mirrors.

I drove the 370z today and I can say my celica had worse blind spots than this car.

The blind spot is very identical to 350Z. But with a little thicker rear quarter panel, I would say there's less visibility but nothing out of ordinary. I didn't have any problem with my Z but decided to add a rear view cam ANYWAY since the headunit had a really nice setup. If blind spot is an issue, you can simply get one of these cameras (for members with aftermarket radio) and life can be a little easier ;)

When my driver side window is down, I find my head popping outside frequently to check the blind spot. The right side isn't too bad, though.

im use to it now after change for a week. i normally set the side mirrors to the edge of the back fender but decide to go out more til i dont see the fenders. i find it more helpful when i see the blindspots now that i didnt before. when i see a car's front then mean im good to change lanes.

when you say the "near corners", do you mean the inside or outside corners was thinking of putting these on also, but not sure if they would actually improve vision, does it really improve blindspot vision that much? |

http://www.cartalk.com/content/featu...alkMirrors.pdf I've found the easiest way to avoid the blindspots is to just pass people and when you see them in the rear view you're good to go. |
I personally disagree. I have a sliver of my fender showing in my mirror and that gives a reference to where the vehicle is. Without a reference there is no way of knowing with any precision where the objects are. Sure you know there is someone beside you but I need to know exactly where.
I find for driving most of my blind spots are not a huge issue as I am constantly looking around the vehicle to see what my environment is and how its changing. |

That is still too close to the car, which will leave you some blindspot. If you set mirrors as stated in the article you do not need a reference. If you see something in your side mirror you should not be changing lanes. |
Daily driver, commute Boston, have since March- blind spot really not that bad- just pay attention
