Yeah I tend to combat park (Tail end in first). Driving on the Highway with a good amount of traffic is the worst. My fear is hitting a motorcycle since I ride bikes too. Most of the time you can hear them but a few are quite.

Same here, on all accounts. I plan on selling my bike now though - Z is more fun - lol!

for backing out of the driveway, give a good look at your surroundings, and as for busy parking lots, just park in reverse>>>

I agree, they aren't that bad.

you know what I notice more than the blind spots? the giant side mirrors block my vision to the front-left or front-right. I almost hit a pedestrian (really it wasn't that close) but I did not even see her because my mirror blocked her from my view. I am getting ready to turn and this lady comes out of nowhere...well, she appeared from behind my ginormous side mirror so that is somewhere but those things do get in the way sometimes.

Absolutely true.

I only have issues pulling out of parking spots. No issued while driving.
The huge mirrors are plain ugly.

I don't think the mirrors are overly large but you sit so low in a sports car that the mirrors are now at eye level rather than a bit below. At least the Z has a right mirror. My '76 'vette doesn't. That can be very challenging on a busy freeway. Personally, on my Z, I adjust the left mirror out as far as possible to eliminate most if not all of the blind spot. Using the edge of the left rear quarter is not helping you any with the blind spot.

On the contrary, the Spectra mirrors create a smooth laminar air flow down each side making one very slippery Kia!!!;);)

Yeah, but when you're not used to the car, it does help you learn the center of the lane. :)

That, and the right mirror won't go out enough for me :(

You could place a small large aperature camera in the corner of the mirrors that would be activated when you hit the turn signals. They could also work in tandem with the back up camera when the car is placed in reverse. You could have a 3 way split screen on the monitor.

If anyone steals this idea and makes millions with it please at least be like that guy in the movie "The Jerk" and give me half.

The FX50 has this...its legendary

Seeing left and right is my biggest problem. If you guys think you sit low and the mirrors are in you line of sight, you can only image what it is like for me, all of 5'2" !!!

CBRich 06-19-2009 04:55 PM

Come on guys. I'm too busy showing off and driving fast to look outside the car. I don't need any windows.
