What do you guys think...

about the platinum graphite with the grey interior? Does anyone have that color combination? I just put a down payment on my Z. :)

I ordered a platinum graphite with black interior however due to a dealer f%^#up what arrived was a grey interior.

What do you guys think? It is starting to grow on me though...

semtex 06-18-2009 06:23 PM

You mean the frost interior? I take it this is a base model, not touring? Any pics?

It's a touring sport with nav. Yup I think the grey interior is called frost in Canada. :)

cwj370 06-18-2009 07:21 PM

Frost looks like it is really light. Nice color, but would be very hard for me to keep nice and clean.

cossie1600 06-18-2009 07:22 PM

Personally I am not a fan of it, orange is hot :0

That would be my concern as well. Stains over time, etc.

alexanderb 06-18-2009 10:38 PM

hmmm...yeah guess you guys are right...I better start stocking up on the leather cleaner and conditioner! :ohsnap1:

does anyone currently have this combination? please share your experience! :)

fly yellow 06-18-2009 11:19 PM

I have the gray interior. Leather cleaner removes stains very easily.

alexanderb 06-19-2009 05:58 AM

That's great news. Thanks! :)

But do you guys think the grey interior works with PG? :driving:

BanningZ 06-19-2009 06:15 AM

I think any interior looks beautiful in a PG 370Z

Are you going to renegotiate because of the screw up? Might be worth the time and money to bitch about the interior snafu.

Congrats on the new car!

semtex 06-19-2009 08:06 AM

^I agree. Looks shouldn't be a concern. It looks good. But defn. try to use their screw-up for some bargaining leverage.

semtex 06-19-2009 08:07 AM

Oh and one more thing -- if they give you wheel locks, make sure they give you the right ones. The Z does not use the standard Nissan lock. The correct lock is specific to the 370Z.

That's why I went with black. As long as I don't eat/drink in the car, or sneeze or do anything "funkay" it should stay nice :)

Does farting count? Whenever I get a new car, I try to not fart in it for as long as possible. But inevitably, one day, there's just no avoiding it, and I have to let it rip. It always feels like a bittersweet rite of passage. On one hand, I feel like the car isn't truly my car until I fart in it. But on the other hand, it just doesn't feel as new after that first fart. Now, when my wife gets a new car, I race to 'christen' it, just to piss her off. I'm a bit of a bastard that way. Yeah I know. TMI, right? Happy Friday, everyone! :tiphat:

nogoodname 06-19-2009 09:00 AM

^^ wow....lol

never really since PG on Frost.....i like PG on orange.......make the dealer give you a deal b/c it not what you wanted originally

DinoJ 06-19-2009 09:37 AM

I got black cloth seats I didnt go with touring. Does anyone know what the easiest route for me to take to get orange persimmon seats directly from Nissan. Can I do it through the dealer? I reeeeeeeeeallllly want the orange, I have a MB car and I had no idea I could get orange seats my dealer told me that the Z wasnt coming out with leather seats until 2010 :ugh2: dickheads.

That would probably be a lot pricier than just going to a shop and having them reupholstered. The touring seats are also power and heated. You would have to wire all of that in. If you're just looking for a color then you could have the seats and the side panels reupholstered.

^^ thats what i was going to say

Black is darker than brown ;)

That said, the way I drive, I couldn't squeak one out.

Got to be post of the day!! :happydance:

FricFrac 06-19-2009 07:48 PM

I fell in love with the Frost when I saw it in a '03 350Z and it looked fantastic. I would have picked it with the blue but alas we can't pick our interior colours in Canada....

Thank you Semtex! Do you mean that Nissan deliberately puts the wrong wheel locks on the 370Z? Shouldn't it come with the right locks from the factory? :icon14:

No, the locks are put on by the dealers not the factory. Unfortunately half the dealers apparently didn't realize that different locks would be needed compared to the outgoing 350Z.

alexanderb 06-20-2009 10:01 PM

:eek2: What happens? Do the tires fall out if you use the wrong one?

Does anyone have the part number of the correct locks? Unfortunately the car will be shipped to me and I will not be able to inspect it personally...

semtex 06-21-2009 08:25 AM

Review this thread. It will answer all your questions.

Congrats on the new car!

Thanks BanningZ! :)

Unfortunately, I don't think I'm in a place to play hardball seeing as I already made the down payment and I'm not even in the US! :)

I really wanted a 370Z...so I'm having it shipped to me...it hasn't come out yet where I am...

I'm beginning to like the gray interior though...actually...any interior would do as long as it's a 370Z! lol! :icon17:

Anyone out there currently have the same setup? PG with frost/gray interior?
