Also, I am very interested in 70-0 distances for base brakes.

Well I can tell you from experience, if you are coming off the Freeway into a 35mph S turn to a stoplight, and you expect the base 350z brakes to stop you from 70 mph, you barely make it...

Now I have the sport 370Z and the brakes are so much better..

I also had a 300ZX with aftermarket brakes and it was way better than the 350Z..

I just think that base brakes are fine unless you plan to push the car to it's limits, and with the power and the handling, these cars have a high limit..

Sport or aftermarket brakes are a must..

about the same as the sport package, for a couple stops.

The base brakes are more than sufficient to lock em up, even with a significant amount of tire.

Yet, if someone here thinks the base brakes will stop in 70-0 in 157ft not happening.

The sport and Nismo can stop in 70-0 in 157ft the Camaro ZL1 does it in 159ft the corvette grand sport in 157ft.

I would like to see some tests. Surprisingly Nissan does not offer any specs on there site.
Braking distance is due to the tires no the brakes. Any brakes in good working order on any new car today has the ability to lock the wheels up. The difference between brakes like the base and sport comes from reducing brake fade and pedal effort required to stop the car.

It's not really 'safer' than the base brakes, but they are better for other reasons. Base brakes 'almost killing you' is a bit of an exaggeration and you'd probably be just as 'almost killed' doing the same thing with the Akebono's. They do way look better than the base brakes though.

I drain off the grease from Canadian bacon and pour it into my crankcase. Oil temps dropped 20*

Don't try this with American swine - it will clog your filter.
