The Fast and Frugal???

6. Nissan 370Z - Jim Gorzelany - Forbes

Well i guess it's better than making the list of the slow and expensive.....

Nice find. I would like to think the Z is a tad faster to 60 then 5.2 but I guess thats not bad.

sonic370 06-28-2012 07:16 PM

yeah if i remember the first 5 cars cost 10 to 15 grand more than the 370.

if there's a better sports car on the road for the 370's price. someone speak up

Pauly 06-28-2012 08:30 PM

We have autos, its easier for us to get under 5. The mags test the manual. It seems most of these manual guys concur 5.0 to 5.5. I know in my auto I'm substantially faster than that on a good day.

Mustang GT and FR-S :stirthepot:

JK, I really can't think of any more focused sports car, other than perhaps the FR-S, BR-Z duo and "fast" is a debatable adjective for them.

The Genesis coupe IS cheaper than the Z, thought I wouldn't pick it over the Z.

shadoquad 06-28-2012 11:50 PM

lol, they list the boxster and cayman separately.

lemon-fresh 06-29-2012 12:08 AM

genesis and Z have the same 0-60 time... Who knew!

This is such a good car its amazing. Ive owned mid engine exotics(3 diff Lotus Turbos), Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Corvette etc.

I like the Mustang but its a 2+2 like the Hyundai and its still a muscle car lacking an element of refinement I like in a sportscar. Once again please do not flame me for just a simple opinion. Drive what you like and life is good.

370Z- Looks, performance, handling and quality its a good package. Is it perfect? No.

NO car is.

Our 0-60 is 5 seconds? That blows... My buddies FX50S's 0-60 is 5 seconds, and usually a bit quicker, and that weights 4700 pounds...

My LIGHTY modified 2009 Maxima's 0-60 was 5.7 seconds...

ah, that would explain the .6 second variation in acceleration test report averages from all the different sources.

I guess that makes the Z an under-achiever sports car.:icon18:
