Drive to NY, put more miles on the car for a different dealer or learn how to do it yourself? Btw, I don't know how asking for the GT-R mechanic is going to go down at the shop, they could outright say no because you don't have a GT-R, I mean if it was as easy as asking for the GT-R mechanic I'm sure the guy with the Versa would want the special tech as well. Learn how to change the oil yourself, at least that way you'll feel gratified and know the job was done right instead of biting fingernails worrying over seat angles in the dealer waiting room.
The GTR tech works on other cars its just they are certified to deal with higher end cars.... If they ONLY worked on GTRs they would be sitting around all day with nothing to do as there are not a ton of GTRs going in for service daily....

I already went over with him the ease of changing your own oil but he doesnt want to so i suggested the GTR tech for a better solution.

The only thing I would have told the guy is that no-one is allowed to smoke in the car.

My approach was this: I took 1 week, 3 days, 12 hours, and 37 minutes getting everything set absolutely the way I wanted it, and then I sealed the car in a case made of inch-thick lucite and filled it with xenon, an inert gas. I think that my 370Z will thus be perfectly preserved for at least 1000 years, and when I open the case the seat adjustment will fit me perfectly, assuming that I haven't gained or lost any weight, etc.

It's always nice when you can do a job yourself on your car. Then you know you can hold yourself responsible for it.
I've had mechanics create new leaks while they were fixing old ones... and who knows if it was on purpose or not ( to bring me back to have the new leak fixed ! )

I guess your driving position is a pretty small thing compared to the engine or transmission of the car. Nonetheless, I understand how a car is a personal place

I lol'd

I don't think the tech should have given you attitude like that. He could've done things differently. Maybe he was offended, though. I don't like readjusting my seat; I feel like I never get it 100% the same and it'll bother me for like the next 20 miles. I really don't like the smell of smoke, so I would've been more upset about that than anything.

When I had my Mercedes, the lot guys (geez...I don't even know the correct term) were uh...mentally challenged? The owner of the dealership was part of some program that employed them. First time one of them curbed my wheel I went to the SA and told him that only him or his techs were allowed to move my car. Never had an issue after that. Ended up getting to be friends with the SA and he said it was a huge problem, they had tons of damage on customer's cars as well as new cars that the lot guys moved, but the owner was steadfast on giving them a chance. Now I'm all for programs like that, but let them do packaging or assemble simple stuff, but don't have them moving freakin' $50,000+ cars around.

I used to work w/ a handicapped guy who not only moved vehicles on our property, but also delivered them to municipalities and other clients. I was his supervisor. Imagine how that went.

Even w/ all the headaches he caused me, I still miss him. He was a nice guy lol.

Thanks for reminding me. I had not thought of that! I'll have to work out a fix, but that means cracking the lucite case and finding another supply of xenon gas...

Now see! Here's someone I can relate to! Assuming that my body morphology does change however after the first 1000 years, I may need to readjust the seats again. I can't take this pressure!
