So why not go to an independent mechanic. Get the problem documented, then take it tto the dealer with the paperwork and make them fix it? Unfortunately you gotta push people to move bro.

I hope you are kidding right. So I am going to take a car, that is under warranty, pay someone a few hundred bucks to tell me things I already know? What is the mechanic going to tell me that I don't know about.
My transmission's bearing is making noise? My fuel gauge is inaccurate? My TPMS computer had codes stored in it? I know you are a Nissan apologist, but really? |

Sorry to hear about your trouble. The Nissans around here have been great, although I've only had one service so far. I have bought parts from two others. Courtesy drop off and pick up
Is it just me, when I roll up in my Z they seem to treat me extra special and I get special notifications in the mail. My wife however hates BMW, the service has been horrible at one of the most popular ones, She wrote the the head Office. lets just say this, now she has a deal where she doesn't bring her car in. They have to come pick it up on a flatbed or must come with a courtesy BMW for her to drive. She is a ball buster

How am I a nissan apologist. Look at least on the tranny? Get an independent diqagnostic of the issue, that way you have something to fight with... that's what I'm telling you. I'm just trying to give you some ways to fight this to make it work for you. Ii don't see how that makes me a nissan apologist??? I figured you can 1) get a documented diagnostic of the issues without repair from a mechanic 2) present the information to the dealership and have them re-check the situation 3). Make a complaint/appeal to nissan corp 4) possibly sue under magnuson moss. That's what I get for trying to help huh? Last edited by UNKNOWN_370; 06-28-2012 at 03:39 PM. |

But its nissan that's not diagnosing it properly. Maybe an independent mechanic with a diagnostic can at least find the info.
Cossies visits are already documented. Evertime you go to the dealer. You sign service papers as to why you are there. If he finds an issue on his own, that they deny he has? They are liable for what it cost him to determine this. NYS lemon laws are very consumer friendly. I'm just sayin... |

So I would tell nissan, FVCK YOU! PAY ME! PS Koeppel nissan was about 5 miles from my apt in brooklyn. They are the best in the area. Maybe he called the service rep a NISSAN APOLOGIST. Last edited by UNKNOWN_370; 06-28-2012 at 04:12 PM. |

here is my problem. my fuel gauge is not dead, its just not accurate. I showed them I drove 118 miles with computer showing I was getting about 16.5 MPG. my gauge was showing 3 dots less than full. to Nissan, that is acceptable. yet to normal consumers, do you think it is? its not the first time I have had problems with these type of common sense 50/50 things. back when I had my 350, they used to tell me rattles are normal because it is a sports car and front feathering on tires was normal
I only dealt with the sales at koppelle, total prick. btw the service writer seems like a nice guy, I have no beef with him, I just won't let them earn my money ever again. I had bought two cars from them too Last edited by cossie1600; 06-28-2012 at 04:28 PM. |

Check the forums this is a known issue. There are very few things that may help, like adding Techron, but the cause is an odd shaped tank. And no matter how many sensors you put in the tank will still be odd shaped. Nissan will not redesign your tank.
